This week, two major U.S. pollsters released new reports showing that one and a half months after President Biden took office, the U.S. public’s disapproval of Biden has soared by 12 percentage points; 57 percent of the public believes that Biden is leading the United States on the wrong path.
According to a new poll released this week by Rasmussen, 57 percent of Americans believe that the United States is on the wrong path under Biden’s leadership, while only 37 percent of Americans believe the country is on the right track.
According to another poll released this week by the Monmouth University Polling Institute, compared to when Biden first took office on Jan. 20, the U.S. public’s opposition to him has soared from 30 percent to 42 percent now. The reason for the spike is that 16 percent of the American people had no opinion of Biden’s administration in January, but now that rate has slipped to 8 percent.
The poll also shows that Republican opposition to Biden has risen from 70 percent in late January to 80 percent now, while opposition to Biden among middle-of-the-road voters, independent of both parties, has soared from 30 percent to 48 percent now.
In the 45 days since he took office, Biden has signed dozens of presidential executive orders to overturn former President Trump‘s “America First” policy and promote far-left issues that have sparked discontent among the American public. For example, Biden signed an executive order on January 20, his first day in office, allowing open borders and promising U.S. citizenship to illegal immigrants; and on January 25, he signed an executive order revoking Trump’s ban on transgender people (transgender people) joining the military.
In addition, Biden has been accused of appointing federal officials. For example, his nomination of Rachel Levine as assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of health and Human Services (HHS) was called “historic” by Democrats and the media simply because Levine is transgender. Levine was also accused of lacking the ability to respond to the outbreak, especially during the Communist China virus (COVID-19) pandemic.
