He said that this year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and will focus on the celebration of the 100th anniversary to strengthen ideological and political leadership.
Referring to the work arrangements of the CPPCC this year, Wang Yang said that as a member of a special consultative body, improving the ability to consult is the most pressing issue in performing its duties. We should improve our ability to consult with representatives from outside the Party and be good at ideological and political leadership.
In addition, Wang Yang also mentioned China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025, or the 14th Five-Year Plan). He said that CPPCC members should hold consultations on the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and dealing with the aging population.
In this regard, Shandong financial scholar commander said to the station: now China has repeatedly mentioned to carry out the development model and development strategy of the domestic cycle as the main, international and domestic double cycle, but now it is still not fully realized, indicating that there are a lot of setbacks and problems. Xu Jin suggested abolishing the compulsory English subject and instead cultivating students’ independent thinking, practical and creative abilities, and no longer listing English as a required subject in China’s college entrance exams and prohibiting students from taking various unofficial foreign language exams during their compulsory education.
Lu Xiaoming, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and vice chairman of the provincial committee of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of China (DAB), said he would propose to the General Assembly to amend Article 1047 of the Civil Code to stipulate that the age of Marriage “shall not be earlier than 18 years old.” Currently, the legal age of marriage in China is 22 years old for men and 20 years old for women.
