The U.S. House of Representatives on Feb. 27 passed the Biden administration’s $1.9 trillion financial aid package for Americans. A $50 million grant will go to abortion providers through the pro-abortion “Family X” Planned Parenthood Fund.
The BL reported on Wednesday, March 3, that the budget developed by Democratic lawmakers includes $50 million that would go to the Department of health and Human Services (HHS) under Section 1001 of the Public Health Service Act, which would flow to Family X. Family” family planning services.
In order to allocate these funds to abortion providers, Biden would have to repeal former President Trump‘s (R) executive order. Under the order, the former president cut off federal family planning funds to clinics that provide abortion services in the same facilities as his health services.
According to LifeNews, in the Biden Administration‘s Jan. 28 executive order, Biden directed HHS to review the “Family X” family planning regulations and act quickly to suspend or repeal those that are inconsistent with the new administration’s vision. The new administration’s vision is to make abortion legal.
In other words, the only legal restriction Trump has put in place to prevent taxpayer money from going to abortionists will likely be lifted.
According to the Daily Caller, HHS grants usually take several months to receive, so by the Time the money is obligated, these restrictions will no longer exist.
Sen. Jo-Hawley (R-Texas) reacted to the news with harsh criticism of the Democrats’ cunning. He argued that Democrats are using situations such as the economic crisis caused by the embargo to advance the abortion agenda they want to support.
“It’s clear that Biden is using the evacuation bill as a Trojan horse to advance a radical progressive agenda,” Hawley told the Daily Caller. “I would challenge any Democrat to tell me with a straight face that federal funding for abortion care providers is tied to defeating the Epidemic pandemic?”
In 2019, when Trump’s executive order took effect, about $60 million in federal budget was lost because Planned Parenthood refused to cooperate with the request.
