The Nobel Committee in Oslo (Oslo) said the number of 329 nominees is the third highest ever, after 376 nominees in 2016.
The Associated Press reported earlier on the list of nominees for 2021, the most famous of which are Trump and Sandberg (Greta Thunberg), in addition to Hong Kong‘s anti-China movement, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny (Alexei Navalny), Belarusian opposition leader Ichikhanovskaya ( Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya), and other individuals or organizations.
The vast majority of those eligible for nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize are heads of state or chiefs, university professors and academics, directors of foreign policy institutes, and current and former members of the Nobel Committee. In fact, Nobel does not recommend that nominators make the names of their nominees public, but more and more nominators are making their names public in the hope of generating publicity or shaping public opinion.
