New York Governor Cuomo has added another scandal to his list of scandals. A former News10 ABC-TV anchor and reporter in New York, Lindsay Nielsen, tweeted on the 28th claiming that she resigned because of the harassment and personal attacks she was subjected to at the Time by Governor Cuomo’s office.
Lindsay Nielsen, who left News10 in 2017, told the New York Post that harassment by employees in Cuomo’s office was one of the reasons she resigned.
She tweeted that she decided to quit her job at News10 after receiving many accusatory and threatening phone calls from staffers in the governor’s office and realizing that the behavior would never stop.
She wrote, “Late night calls from the (state) administration, constant threats to call my boss, constant bullying, trying to get me to stop reporting specific stories.”
She explained that when she contacted Cuomo’s office to request a response to a story, she usually did not get a response, but after the story was published she received numerous calls asking to change the story, “They made it personal (the story), claiming I had a personal vendetta against the governor; it was absolutely false, I was just doing my job as a reporter, reporting the facts. “
“My purpose in writing this is to show that those involved not only knew it was unacceptable, but that it caused harm.”
The governor’s office had not issued a statement in response to the story by press time.
