A luxury home next to the Sea Lake estate for sale with Trump as a neighbor

Trump‘s (Trump) private property, the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla.

A property adjacent to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate has been listed on the market for $49 million.

Fox Business reported Monday (March 1) that the property is located directly next to the Sea Lake Estates Beach Club and is owned by a limited liability company owned by the Trump Group, according to property records.

The property’s last sale date was May 2018, when the Trump Group-owned LLC purchased it for $18.5 million.

The Palm Beach Daily News also reported that the eight-bedroom, 10,455-square-foot mansion listed for sale is being handled by real estate firm Lawrence A. Moens Brokerage.

According to a previous listing, the Home includes a formal living room, a sunroom, a Family room, a library and a balcony with ocean views; it also has a patio and pool and 194 feet of waterfront.

Media reports say the new owners will also receive certain privileges, including free membership in the Sea Lake Club.

Trump bought Sea Lake Estates in 1985 for $10 million from the estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post, owner of General Foods.

Posty died in 1973, and she left the 126-room Sea Lake estate to the U.S. government as a possible presidential vacation home. The government returned the Sea Lake estate to her in 1981.

Trump then turned the estate into a private club in the early 1990s, limiting membership to 500, including the former president. The initiation fee is now $200,000 and the annual membership fee is $14,000.
