3 more deaths reported in South Korea after AZ vaccination, 5 deaths in 2 days

In South Korea, two cases of death after vaccination with AstraZeneca vaccine for Wuhan pneumonia (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) were reported on the 3rd, and three more cases of death after vaccination were reported today, one woman in her 20s and two men in their 50s, making a total of five deaths after vaccination in two days.

The South Korean Epidemic prevention unit today announced three deaths after vaccination, a 20-year-old woman from Daejeon City, a 50-year-old man from Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, and a 50-year-old man from Buan County, North Jeolla Province, respectively.

It is reported that the three people have their own medical history, including the death of the female has a history of epilepsy, recently admitted to a sanatorium due to epilepsy, 2 was scheduled for vaccination, but unexpectedly died suddenly at 2:00 am on the 4th, the detailed cause is still to be clarified, it is impossible to say whether the vaccine is related.

The other two men were 52 and 58 years old. The 52-year-old had a history of cardiovascular disease and brain hemorrhage in 2020, and died at 1:40 a.m. on the 4th after being vaccinated on the 2nd; the 58-year-old had a history of myocardial infarction, diabetes and other special diseases, and died at 2:15 a.m. on the 4th after being vaccinated on the 3rd.

In this regard, the health unit of North Jeolla Province said that it is not yet possible to confirm whether the cause of death is related to vaccination. South Korea reported two deaths on the 3rd from heart attack, respiratory distress and pneumonia, sepsis, plus three cases today, a total of five deaths in two days.
