The same set of clothes was still being worn at the hearing today.
The defense lawyers said there were hygiene problems and asked the judge to allow the defendants to freshen up and change their clothes, including short bail and the suggestion that the Correctional Services Department must let the defendants take a shower, but all were rejected. The defendants are being heard again today, and most of them are still wearing the same clothes they were wearing on the day they were arrested when they left the detention center for court; the case resumes at 12 p.m. this afternoon.
