Former U.S. ambassador to U.N. calls on Biden to boycott Beijing Winter Olympics, says CCP more dangerous than Nazis

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics will open on February 4 next year, but China has come under international criticism for human rights issues, including persecution of Uighurs in Xinjiang, infringement of democracy and freedom in Hong Kong, and threats of reunification with Taiwan.

Haley recently wrote to Forsyth News calling on Biden to boycott the Beijing Winter Olympics. In the article, Haley compared today’s Chinese Communist Party to Nazi Germany, alleging, “Compared to Nazi Germany in 1936, today’s Chinese Communist Party is clearly more dangerous.” Stressing that if the CCP continues to violate human rights and commit genocide, then the CCP will soon become the Nazi Germany of the 1940s, “it [China] is not a country that the United States should glorify by participating in the Winter Olympics.”

Haley argued that if the U.S. and other free countries participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, the CCP will claim that this is proof that China has good international standing, but if the U.S. boycotts the Winter Olympics, it will send a clear message to the world that Chinese tyranny and threats are not acceptable, and that Biden must boycott the Winter Olympics, which shouldn’t be a difficult decision.

Haley also tweeted earlier, referring to the concept of “the lesser of two evils,” saying that a boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics would be a huge loss for U.S. athletes, but the matter must be weighed against the ongoing genocide in China and the greater fear that comes with empowering China.
