Ridiculous? Communist Party lessons at the opening ceremony of an elementary school in mainland China

This year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and many elementary school in mainland China have arranged activities to “learn the history of the Party” during the opening ceremony.

The mainland media Xinjing News reported that elementary school in Beijing started on March 1. In Beijing’s Mentougou District, 35,000 teachers and students in 1,200 classes attended the opening lesson on the theme of “Learning Party History, Understanding Ideas, Doing Practical Things, and Starting a New Game,” which was watched live by all primary and secondary school and kindergarten students.

In addition, a number of schools, including Yuquan Primary School affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party Academy of Sciences and Peixin Primary School in Beijing’s Dongcheng District, also held opening ceremonies by inviting celebrities to talk about the history of the Party.

Primary and secondary schools in mainland China started their school year from Feb. 22. Beijing elementary school are not the only ones to give party lessons at the opening ceremony. According to the mainland media Qianjiang Evening News, the experimental elementary school in Qujiang District, Zhejiang Province, opened on the 27th, and set the task of learning “learning 100 years of Party history and being a red heir” for this year’s opening week.

In addition, students at Wenhe Primary School in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, began studying Party history during the winter holidays, and the Cuiwei Branch of Liu’an Road Primary School in Hefei City, Anhui Province, also held a related opening ceremony.

On February 4, the Communist Party of China (CPC) released an official document claiming that the “red mountains will never change color” and emphasizing that the youth vanguard is the so-called preparatory team for communism. Children and adolescents were asked to listen to the Party and follow it.

Huang Xiaomin, a human rights activist in Chengdu, told Radio Free Asia that the authorities’ recent serious reintroduction of youth management is somewhat unusual in tone and importance, and that the attention paid to youth work and the importance placed on this agenda is indeed greater than during any previous period of government or leadership. He believes it may be because of the youth groups that have grown up in Communist society over the past decade or so, the trust and responsibility of these people, and the gap between what is required of those in power now. The current young people’s preference for Internet access and live webcasting is far from what the authorities want.

Ms. Wang, a resident of Taiyuan, Shanxi, said, “After reading the People’s Daily’s opinion on the guidance of the Young Pioneers’ work, my first feeling is absurdity, and my second feeling is anger. The absurdity lies in the fact that this country of 1.4 billion people is facing the same problems as the world today, but he is taking some ideological issues, is he still ready to rule for the next 100 years? If I were a parent of a student, I would never let my child join the Young Pioneers.”

Current affairs commentator Wei Jin told the station that according to the Chinese Communist Party, it, a cult gang, has a so-called three-tier organization, party, league and team, one level of strict design, respectively, three stages of children, teenagers and adults are required to join. Now in order to brainwash and pull heads in advance, even this rule is disregarded, and children are also required to attend party classes, which is absurd!
