Having a Highly Inclusive Environment Hyatt Hotels: Proud to Hold CPAC

The Hyatt Hotel responded to calls to boycott its location for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), saying the company “prides itself on having a highly inclusive environment.

A spokesperson for the Hyatt Regency Orlando, Florida, told the news media, “We pride ourselves on having a highly inclusive environment, and we believe that hosting this gathering (CPAC) is a core value of what we do as a hotel company.” CPAC is being held this week in Orlando, Florida, an annual meeting of conservative political activists that features many political dignitaries and former officials along with Republican luminaries.

In a statement, Hyatt said, “We believe in the right of individuals and organizations to peacefully express their views independent of the extent to which the views of those who hold meetings and events at our hotels are aligned with ours.” “Our own values support a Culture characterized by empathy, respect and diversity of opinion and background, and we strive to reveal that culture through our work and interactions with the people we care for.”

Hyatt has been criticized for hosting the CPAC event, with some on Twitter (apparently because it is a conservative event) claiming it promotes “white supremacy.” Some have also claimed that CPAC will be a “super-spreader” event for the New Coronavirus (the Chinese Communist virus).

On Sunday (Feb. 28), former President Trump is scheduled to appear at CPAC and give a speech that could set the stage for a presidential runoff in 2024.

Jason Miller, a senior Trump adviser, said the former president will express concern about the direction President Biden has taken since taking office. He said Biden has taken numerous administrative measures that will be met with backlash and will also face challenges, including in the courts, where he has faced pushback on overturning Trump Administration policies aimed at boosting the economy and strengthening border security.

Miller said Trump will focus on issues such as pushing Amnesty for illegal immigrants, halting border wall construction, and blocking the Keystone pipeline.

“Those priorities, really, are really what the president predicted before Biden took office …… And that’s already starting to happen.” Miller told Mediaite founder Dan Abrams in a radio interview Thursday (Feb. 25).

CPAC usually meets in Washington, D.C., but the meeting was moved to Florida because of the Epidemic lockdown there.
