Biden to pay $500 million to rejoin WHO Trump CPAC slams Communist China and decision to rejoin WHO

Former President Trump in 2021 CPAC speech

Former President Donald Trump on Sunday (Feb. 28) slammed the Chinese Communist government’s relationship with the WHO and accused the Biden administration of “spending a lot of money” on its decision to rejoin the World health Organization.

“They (WHO) are really puppets of the Chinese (Communist) state,” Trump said in his CPAC speech, “and they call, they want us to stay. I said how much do we have to pay? About $500 million. How much is the Chinese (communist) state going to pay? Their country is much bigger in terms of population.”

He denounced Biden’s return to WHO as paying $500 million, “a huge amount, it’s small compared to trillions of dollars, but it’s still a huge amount,” and “Why is it that the Chinese (Communist) countries are paying only $39 million and we’re paying almost half a billion dollars? Why? So we could have paid $39 million like China did.”

At the same Time, Trump also talked about the U.S.-China trade deal and the Epidemic, “We got hundreds of millions of dollars from China (Communist) during my administration,” “That used to be a one-way street, but we got billions of dollars from the trade deal, and in the negotiations they would say, look, we don’t want these tariffs anymore. Tariffs have helped us get a lot of money. That’s why it’s competitive.”

He said, “But, to be fair, the U.S. only had a trade deal with that country before the epidemic,” but once the epidemic happened, “I no longer care about trade deals because this thing is really shameful.”

Trump also denounced that companies that leave the United States to create jobs in China and other countries “don’t deserve to be rewarded for violating our interests. He blasted, “That’s what the Biden Administration is doing. But, as you know, they have very close personal ties to the Chinese Communist Party, so I don’t anticipate much happening.”
