Life News, an independent pro-life news organization, reported, “In Thursday’s debate on the Equality Act, a measure that would empower abortion to kill babies and force American taxpayers to fund abortions. Republicans accused Democrats of ignoring biblical values, and pro-abortion Democratic House members countered the Republican accusations with a surprising statement that underscored the fact that Democrats do ignore biblical teachings. “
Pro-abortion Democratic Rep. Nadler
LifeNews reported that part of the debate on the pro-abortion measure revolved around the issue of sex and gender. Rep. Stobie said, “When a man or woman claims to be able to choose their gender, they are saying that God didn’t know what he was doing when he created them.”
Congressman Stobie went on to say, “The gender confusion that exists in our Culture today is a clear rejection of God’s good design. Whenever a nation’s laws no longer reflect God’s standards, that nation is in rebellion against God and will inevitably suffer the consequences.”
Stobie added, “We are seeing the consequences of rejecting God in our country today.”
Stobie’s remarks led to a shocking rebuttal from Democratic Rep. Nadler. Nadler claimed that “the will of God, as described by any religious tradition, is irrelevant to this Congress.”
The Gateway Pundit believes that this is quite a shocking statement, even for a top Democrat.
