Rare! Two sessions approaching Missile woman expert withdrawn from CPPCC

Zhang Jinhong, a female missile expert from China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), was recently revoked as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in a rare move.

As the two sessions of the Communist Party of China (CPC) are about to be held, Zhang Jinhong, a female missile expert from the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), has recently been revoked from the CPPCC in a rare move. Some analysts believe that China’s aerospace system or trouble.

According to the Chinese Communist Party‘s Xinhua news agency, the Chinese Communist Party’s CPPCC chairman’s meeting was held in Beijing on the 24th, the meeting considered and adopted the decision to revoke the membership of the CPPCC Committee of the Third Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Group’s Standing Committee of Science and Technology and Chief Designer Zhang Jinhong, and submitted to the 15th CPPCC Standing Committee meeting for posthumous recognition.

Zhang Jinhong is a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, science and technology. Public information shows that Zhang Jinhong, 55, is a native of Maoyang, Henan Province; graduated from the Beijing Aviation Institute in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in general design of winged missiles, and in the same year studied for a postgraduate degree in general design of missiles from the Ministry of Aerospace Industry; joined the workforce in August 1989.

Zhang Jinhong was the deputy chief designer of a model of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), and was responsible for the technical control of the pre-research model of the “Ninth Five-Year Plan”.

In 2018, Zhang Jinhong was listed as a member of the CPPCC National Committee. In 2003, the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) praised Zhang Jinhong as a “female missile expert,” saying that she had dedicated the best 17 years of her Life to missile development.

However, the Communist Party has not officially announced the reasons for Zhang’s dismissal.

Xi Jinping met with representatives of China’s lunar exploration project staff on Feb. 22, emphasizing the continuous promotion of innovative development of the space industry. What is strange is that on that day, the A-share aerospace military industry sector as a whole followed the general market decline. Two companies with market capitalization of more than 100 billion RMB – AVIC Power and AVIC Shenfei – led the decline with -8.39% and -7.93% respectively.

However, the official media did not report the reason for the sudden and rare plunge of aerospace stocks. However, public reports show that China’s aerospace industry has been plagued by frequent accidents in recent years.

On Feb. 1, an abnormality occurred during the ignition and liftoff of the second private commercial launch vehicle of the Chinese Communist Party’s Double Curve 1. Officials declared the launch mission a failure.

In September last year, the launch vehicle failed after an in-flight abnormality occurred during the launch of the Jilin-1 Gaofen 02C satellite.

On July 10, the first launch of the Fast Boat 11 launch vehicle took place at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, but the launch mission failed due to an abnormality in the rocket’s flight.

On June 16, the last third-generation Beidou-3 group satellite, which the CPC had planned to launch, also had problems with the Long March 3B launch vehicle, forcing the mission to be delayed for a launch date to be determined.

On May 5, the Long March 5B launch vehicle was launched from Wenchang, Hainan, carrying a cargo return module test capsule and a new-generation manned spacecraft test vessel, which later failed to return to the landing site as originally planned.

On April 9, the launch of the Indonesian PALAPA-N1 satellite by a Long March 3B launch vehicle from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center failed, with the rocket’s third stage and the satellite debris falling.

In addition to the frequent accidents in Chinese spaceflight, corruption cases in the aerospace system have been repeatedly exposed. One of the most sensational public opinion is that in 2019, the network hot rumor that the deputy general manager of Air China Aircraft Co.

The current secretary of the First Aircraft Design and Research Institute was also allegedly reviewed for embezzlement of 100 million yuan. Another more than 60 middle cadres took the initiative to surrender and confess their problems. The entire leadership team of the First Flight Institute was involved in the embezzlement case.

On December 10 of the same year, AVIC Aircraft issued an announcement through the China Securities Journal and other platforms that Li Shouze, director and deputy general manager of AVIC Aircraft Co. However, no details were given.

China’s aerospace system was allegedly the territory of Jiang Zemin’s eldest son Jiang Mianheng’s interests. During his tenure as vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiang was the deputy director general of China’s manned space program and had long been involved in the aerospace system.

Jiang was also the chief scientist of the Innovation-1 small satellite, deputy head of the leading group of the lunar exploration project and deputy commander-in-chief of the Chang’e project in 2007, and deputy commander-in-chief of Shenzhou-7 in 2008. It is reported that China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has an aerospace bureau in Shanghai, which is also associated with Jiang Mianheng.
