Japanese government says there is a possibility of “hazard shots” against Chinese maritime police ships

The Japanese government said in a joint meeting of the Liberal Democratic Party’s National Defense Group and the Security Investigation Council on the 25th that if a Chinese Coast Guard ship tries to land on the Senkaku Islands (known as the Diaoyu Islands in China), then the Japanese side may consider it a vicious crime and may carry out a “hazard shot” to inflict harm on the other side.
