A White House correspondent who covered He Jinli was diagnosed with the disease

U.S. National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan, Vice President He Jin, President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and National Security Council Senior Director for the Western Hemisphere Juan Gonzales meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the Roosevelt Room of the White House in Washington, D.C., on February 23, 2021, in their first online bilateral meeting.

A reporter covering U.S. Vice President He Jinli (Kamala Harris) at the White House is diagnosed with coronavirus (a Chinese Communist virus), forcing the White House to thoroughly sanitize the press briefing room.

A statement sent by the White House to the Journalist Commons earlier Wednesday (Feb. 24) said a reporter tested positive during a routine screening.

“As soon as we were notified, we disbanded the vice president’s media press circle and sent the reporters Home. They will be tested again tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, we have arranged for the briefing room to be cleaned. We have also begun contact tracing efforts.” The statement said.

“This individual has not had any contact with the vice president or the president.” The statement added.

A McClatchy News reporter assigned to work at the White House tweeted a photo of a worker in full protective gear cleaning the briefing room. Fox Business Network’s White House correspondent also confirmed that a reporter in the briefing room tested positive.

Around 1 p.m., White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki told the media that President Joe Biden tested negative for the virus on Monday.
