10 ways of life that bury your potential

Did you know that Most people go through their entire lives without using 0.1% of their true potential?

It’s true. Here’s the thing: human potential is infinite. Whereas a computer may experience a full hard drive, the human brain definitely does not. You can keep pushing forward to your limits and thus go much higher; only to find that you haven’t reached a fraction of your true value.

Even more unfortunately, many people don’t use their true value and only spend their Time and energy on tasks that aren’t worth it. Here are 10 ways that are sure to keep your true potential from unleashing itself

  1. Staying in the past instead of focusing on the present

Some people keep their lives stuck in the past. They complain about what happened in the past and talk about how they should have been and why they didn’t make it happen. But the past is the past, and no matter how much time you spend thinking about the past and regretting it, it won’t change anything anymore. Spending time dwelling on the past is a waste of your possibilities.

There was a time when I wondered what would have happened if I had done X instead of Y, and if I had done Z instead of Y. But after that, I asked myself, “What would have happened if I had done Z instead of Y? But after that, I asked myself, “What would it change to think that way?” I sat back and thought about the past, but it definitely didn’t change or improve my Life in the slightest. Instead, it was looking forward and moving that would allow me to live a life that was truly satisfying to me.

What kind of future do you want to create? What actions can you take to create such an idealized future? What have you learned from the past? Will it help you on your way to the future? Asking and answering questions like these can help you maximize the present moment so that you can move your best life forward. For a practical guide to the first line of existing life: I recommend the power of the present moment.

  1. Trapped between details and grand visions

If you’re a perfectionist, you may find yourself periodically stuck between the perfect details. So, if you’re on your own, so am I. I’ll spend a lot of time editing the truth so that everything is perfect, all as I imagine it to be. For example, in my articles, I can spend over an hour searching for the perfect photo in order to accurately represent the meaning of my article. I can spend hours improving my tweets and forums, so my readers can read about my perfect experience.

However, I gradually realized that by spending all my time on details, I wasn’t using my time in the best way. According to the 80/20 golden rule – 80% of the results we can achieve come from 20% of the actions. To try to reach the remaining 20% in pursuit of 100% perfect results, we need to spend 80% more effort!

Some people will think: we should do everything to achieve the best results. While agreeing with this statement, it is not true if it is detached from the specific situation context. For example, the act of spending extra time finding the best photo to accompany every Twitter post prevents me from doing high value-added work, such as composing a new book, or creating some heartfelt challenge for my own readers. Spending an hour of your time adding value or spending an hour looking for photos? There is no need to say more.

Thinking about the vision in your heart will help you realize what’s worth doing and what’s not; that way you can direct your energy accordingly. The Gifts of Imperfection,” looks good from the title.

  1. Allow yourself to be influenced by small events

There are times when we are maligned or discouraged by small setbacks. It may seem that these emotions are justified, but usually these events are irrelevant in the long run. One way to find out if something is worth thinking about is to ask, “What was its impact in 1 year? How about three years? Five years? Ten years? Thirty years?” Then if not, it proves that it may not be worth your energy to think about these things; instead, focus on those things that are important in the long run.

  1. Blame others for your own predicament

Is there anything in your life that you blame others for? Are you blaming the economy for not getting you the job you want? Are you blaming your Parents for giving you the “fat” gene? Your boss giving you too much work? The lack of opportunities in the world around you? The world is not giving you the life you dreamed of?

The degree to which you can live the life you dream of depends on the degree to which you take responsibility for your own life. When you are going through something and you blame someone for something, you are denying your own responsibility. You are giving that part of your life away to someone else. For example, if you blame your parents for your obesity, then you will continue to be fat because in your mind that is the reason you are fat. Unless you take responsibility for this, you will not have the power to change things. When you take 100% responsibility for your life, let it be your professional status, your health, your relationship status, your finances, your friendships, etc., that’s when you start to realize your dream life.

  1. Complaining

It’s okay to use complaining as a way to vent occasionally, but if you do it often, it turns you into a negative magnet. When you complain, you release your energy into the universe. Every second you spend complaining was originally a second you used to create the life of your Dreams. Instead of lamenting, think about the actions you can take to bring your situation up. If you do this every time, you will be one step closer to the life of your dreams. 6.

  1. Try to do everything yourself

Are you the kind of person who likes to do everything yourself? Me too, but over the years, I’ve come to realize that this approach is holding me back from making more progress. In trying to get everything done, including those factual, less important details, (see #2), that means you just can’t do the things that are one level higher, the important things, like your biggest goals and dreams. Start by delegating, outsourcing or removing the less important tasks and letting go of the ratio to allow yourself to do something more important. In this way, you will notice a big difference in your own efficiency.

  1. Set small goals

Many people set small goals because they are afraid of failure. What they are really afraid of is that they always have the ability to achieve everything they want, and they waste their time and dreams. You have all the potential and ability in the world to achieve anything you want. Stop settling for less and do your best to set your highest goals today. You have to give credit to yourself. 8.

  1. depression and distress

Repressing emotions is like setting a bomb that will eventually explode on its own. Every time you bury your emotions, you are weighing yourself down with provisions. The best way to deal with emotions is to put them on the table and face them, whether they are happy or unhappy. Don’t avoid your problems; if you do that, you’re avoiding yourself. I’ve found a great way to clear out the emotional provisions is to do a brain information garbage exercise and spend 10 to 15 minutes dumping your emotions into a journal. Try it and you will immediately feel lighter.

  1. Think you can’t do it

As Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or can’t – you’re right.” There is nothing in the world that can be more powerful than our faith, and our faith is the lens through which we see the world. If we believe we have the power to make our dreams come true, then likewise our minds will automatically lock on to all the evidence that supports that idea.

  1. Procrastinating on your goals

Procrastination is the “best” way to bury your potential. Do you want to keep your goals from being achieved? If you do, then procrastinate. I’ve never met a happy procrastinator in my life; every procrastinator I’ve known usually has a heavy heart because deep down they want to achieve their goals. Deep down they know they intend to achieve their dreams. So, stop procrastinating, start by identifying where your passion is and go from there, as long as you’re doing what you love, then you’ll never get it wrong.
