Temperatures soar, 365 weather stations in Lu break the maximum temperature of the same period

Just after the Chinese New Year, the temperature soared in many places on the mainland, with 365 meteorological observation stations across the country breaking the historical extreme of the same period in February. The average maximum temperature in Beijing in February is 6.2 degrees Celsius on a year-round basis (1981-2010). Not only did Shanghai and Beijing experience hot weather in February, but temperatures in many parts of mainland China have soared recently.

Xinjing News reported that the meteorological monitoring on February 20 showed that there were 365 meteorological observation stations on the mainland where the maximum temperature exceeded the historical extreme value for the same period in February. For example, the maximum temperature in Shijiazhuang on February 19 was 24.2℃, and that in Zhengzhou was 23.7℃.

According to China Weather News, the lowest temperature in Shijiazhuang was 18.9℃ in the early morning of February 21, refreshing the highest record in February since 1955 for the second consecutive day. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in Jinan, Shandong Province was 15.1℃, also breaking the highest temperature record for the month since 1951. In addition, the south-central Hebei, Shaanxi Guanzhong, most of Shandong, Henan and most of the south in the 21st temperatures were as high as 25 ℃ to 29 ℃.
