Powell Responds to Latest Supreme Court Ruling on Election Integrity

The Gateway Pundit reports on Sidney Powell’s (R-PA) attorney response to the Supreme Court’s latest ruling on election integrity – including Justice Thomas’ dissenting opinion.

The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to review the Pennsylvania 2020 election case.

The court made the announcement on Monday morning.

Justices Alito, Gorsuch and Thomas dissented from the denial.

Trump‘s nominees, Justices Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, sided with the liberal justices.

Here’s the full text of the document released by the U.S. Supreme Court this morning (link).

Attorney Sidney Powell reported this on her Telegraph (Telegram) page.

The dissenting denials

  1. Republican Party of Pennsylvania v. Degraffenreid (D)
  2. Corman (R) v. Democratic Party of Pennsylvania.

In both cases, Justice Thomas dissented, as did Justices Alito and Gorsuch.

Roberts (R) and Kavanaugh (R) and Barrett (R) joined the Democrats in their rejection, appearing at the end of the ranking list.

As Justice Thomas said, “These cases provide an ideal opportunity to address what authority non-legislative officials have to make election rules and to do so before the next election cycle. The refusal to do so is inexplicable.”

Unopposed refusal :

  1. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-CA) v. Pennsylvania.
  2. Trump v. Degraffenreid (D-CA).

Attorney Powell posted Justice Thomas’ dissent.

Justice Thomas said, “This is not the way to build trust. It’s bad enough to change the rules in the middle of a game. It’s even worse when the rules are changed by officials who don’t have the authority to do so. When these changes alter the results of elections, they seriously undermine the very electoral system on which our self-government depends so heavily. If state officials have the power they claim to have, we need to make that clear. If not, we need to end this practice now before the consequences become catastrophic.”

Attorney Powell said, “Wise words: Justice Thomas dissented from the Supreme Court’s refusal to take up the Pennsylvania election case. The Supreme Court’s inaction will only encourage more abuse.”
