On Sunday (Feb. 21), White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said the Chinese Communist Party has failed to provide enough raw data on the spread of the Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia, New Coronavirus) outbreak within China.
We need a credible, open, transparent international investigation by the World health Organization,” Sullivan said in an interview Sunday on CBS’s Face the Nation. They are about to produce a report on the origins of the Wuhan pandemic in China, which we have doubts about because we don’t think China (the Chinese Communist Party) has provided enough raw data to show how this pandemic started spreading in 2020, both in China (spreading) and then around the world (spreading). We believe that both WHO and China should step up their efforts.”
Sullivan highlights CCP’s lack of transparency and the need for WHO to further investigate the origin of the virus
Asked if the Chinese side was specifically asked to provide this data during the two-hour conversation between Biden and Xi, Sullivan said, “I wouldn’t describe it that way. What I would say is that the only way to conduct a scientific investigation is to look at all the data and not only understand how this Epidemic occurred, but also to be able to prevent future epidemics because the lessons we learn from this will be applied in the future.”
He added that President Biden did raise the issue of COVID-19 and the need for all countries to take responsibility – to take their share of the responsibility – to protect the world, including China.
Asked for his opinion on the fact-checking report issued by Secretary Pompeo on the origin of the virus and the Wuhan Virus Institute, he said the WHO investigation should be conducted by scientists and experts and needs to be done without any government intervention, which is the only way people can understand the origin of the virus.
“I cannot say how COVID-19 entered the world and the only thing I can do is to call on the WHO to do its best.” He said.
Sullivan also said the Biden Administration also has been unable to determine the exact source of COVID-19, in part because the Chinese Communist government lacks sufficient transparency. And more work still needs to be done by WHO to gain insight into the exact origin of the virus.
WHO advisor: WHO investigation in China manipulated by Chinese Communist Party
The Chinese Communist Party has been reluctant to provide information about the origins of the virus, and after last year’s outbreak in Wuhan, it silenced whistleblowers, doctors and others.
WHO consultant Jamie Metzl said the WHO investigation into the origins of the virus was actually manipulated by the Chinese Communist Party authorities.
“The investigation itself was very short-lived.” Two weeks of quarantine and two weeks of meetings, but the actual investigation was conducted by the Chinese [Communist Party] authorities,” he said in an interview with Fox News. So the WHO investigators basically received reports from Chinese (Communist Party) officials.”
He said, “As far as I know, the biggest failure was that they outlined four possible ways in which COVID originated.”
Metz listed those four ways: first, direct transmission from bats to humans; second, transmission from bats to humans through animal intermediate hosts; third, transmission through transportation or some kind of frozen Food from elsewhere; and fourth, accidental laboratory leaks.” He said WHO should launch an investigation into the laboratory spill theory.
Peter Ben Embarek, another WHO investigator, said the CCP virus began “widespread transmission” in Wuhan in December 2019, suggesting the CCP covered up the outbreak because it did not report the COVID-19 outbreak until Dec. 31.
On January 14, 2020, the World Health Organization agreed with the CCP’s claim that there was “no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission” of the virus, prompting criticism of the WHO.
In addition, an Associated Press report noted that Embarek and other WHO officials were under strict control by the Chinese Communist Party when they visited Wuhan to conduct their investigation.
