Former U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor Matt Pottinger denounced the Chinese Communist Party‘s concealment of the Epidemic in an interview with U.S. media on Sunday (Feb. 21). He said that non-government sources told him different information about the epidemic than what the Chinese Communist Party was saying.
Bo said in an interview with CBS News’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. He said a Chinese doctor told him last January that the virus was not the same as SARS, but would be like the 1918 flu pandemic.
Using his contacts in China to learn about the virus
Boming said the Chinese (Communist) government has not shared useful information with any country around the world and that the World health Organization (WHO) is parroting the false information put out by the Communist Party about the virus. They claim the virus does not spread significantly from person to person. They went on for weeks, even months, claiming that there was no significant asymptomatic transmission. So, this misleads public health experts in the United States. The U.S. should have listened to those individual doctors in China. “They actually gave us clues. They shared better information with us compared to the Chinese (Communist) government.” Boming said.
I called the local doctors in China in late January of last year,” Bomin said. They have told me, look, this thing spreads asymptomatically. Half of the cases or more are asymptomatic. That’s not the same as what the Chinese (Communist) government is telling us.”
Host Margaret Brennan asked Boming if he was calling people he knew in China because Boming had been a journalist in China for many years, enabling him to call people who were not part of the Chinese Communist government.
Boming replied, “That’s correct.” He said, “I had covered the SARS epidemic in 2003, when I was in China, writing for the Wall Street Journal. So (this Time) I got some of my contacts and talked to Chinese doctors who had first-hand knowledge of the outbreak, and they were very candid. They said, yes, this time it’s not going to be like SARS in 2003. It’s going to be like the 1918 flu pandemic because it’s spreading quietly.”
The 1918 flu pandemic, also known as the Spanish flu, refers to the unusual and deadly flu pandemic that broke out between January 1918 and December 1920.
According to the BBC, the Spanish flu is often referred to as the “mother of all pandemics. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Spanish flu killed 40 to 50 million people worldwide between 1918 and 1920. And many scientists and historians believe that one-third of the world’s population (about 1.8 billion people) were infected with the virus at that time.
Bo Ming: Chinese Communist Party uses military to contain epidemic, tries to cover it up
The nature of the Communist regime means that information about the nature of the virus is not available to the outside world, and they (the Communists) have a strong incentive to mislead their own public and the rest of the world, said Bomin.
Moderator Brennan asked why U.S. health officials and the intelligence community failed to know about the threat earlier, when WHO said COVID-19 spread in Wuhan in late 2019.
Bomen said the U.S. intelligence community does not focus on these issues. They rely on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to focus on these issues. The problem is that the Chinese Communist Party did not turn to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to deal with the crisis. They used the Chinese Communist military. And the CDC in the U.S. does not have a relationship with the Chinese Communist military.
“It’s incredible that the director of the CDC didn’t know this virus was spreading until the last day of December (2019), according to public reports. So it looks like the CDC was somehow left out because the CCP turned to the military (to address the outbreak) to try to cover this up and try to contain it (the virus) until it was too late.” Booming said.
On Feb. 9, the WHO mission issued a statement saying that the CCP virus (coronavirus) pandemic could not have started with a leak at the Wuhan laboratory (Wuhan Institute of Virus). In response to the report, Bomin said, “WHO made various … untrue or false statements about this virus. So WHO has a lot of responsibility.”
He also said that when it comes to the investigation of the origin of the virus, the WHO investigation team sent to China included people who were hand-picked by the Chinese Communist government because the Communist Party has veto power over who can enter China to investigate.
