The A-share aerospace industry sector did not react to the news on Monday, following the overall decline of the broader market. Two companies with a market capitalization of more than 100 billion RMB – Avion Dynamics and AVIC Shenfei led the decline with -8.39% and -7.93% respectively.
According to a Reuters report today, Xi Jinping met with representatives of China’s lunar exploration project staff and emphasized the continuous promotion of innovation in space industry. The report cited Xinhua news agency as saying that Chinese Communist Party President Xi Jinping met with representatives of the lunar exploration project Chang’e 5 mission participants and visited an exhibition of lunar samples and lunar exploration project achievements on Monday morning, fully affirming the achievements of the lunar exploration project, especially the Chang’e 5 mission.
Xi Jinping stressed that he said, “Play the advantages of the new state-based system, climb to the peak of science and technology, serve the overall development of the country, open a new journey of interplanetary exploration one step at a Time, continuously promote the innovative development of China’s space industry, and make a new and greater contribution to the peaceful use of space for mankind.”

The Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.45 percent to 3,642.44 points. The GEM index closed down 4.47%.
