Recently, fires and explosions have been occurring frequently in China. Mountain fires occurred in three counties in Shanxi on the same day a few days ago, and explosions occurred in two places in Jiangsu today (Feb. 22).
Jiangsu one day two explosions
Netizens posted a video message on Twitter that a gas tank explosion occurred today in Zhangpu Town, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. The footage shows the collapse of a building wall and a messy scene.
This afternoon, the Zhangpu Township Government issued a briefing that on February 22, 2021 at about 6:50 a.m., Zhangpu Township, Kunshan City, Jingdong Road, Jingpu Garden, Building 2, an apartment occurred in a bottled liquefied gas leak flash explosion, a total of four injured people were rescued, have been sent to the hospital for treatment, one of the injuries are serious. The cause of the accident is under further investigation.
Another Twitter message said that a container truck exploded under the Qing Yang Viaduct in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, today.
Video shows that the scene is rolling black smoke, black smoke under the scurrying fire. A white two- or three-story building was close to the explosion, and the filmmaker said, “The house is down.”
The cause of the accident and casualties are not yet known.
Shanxi three mountain fires a day

The mountain fire in Jingwan Village, Liushukou Town, Zechou County, Jincheng City, was extinguished at 3:00 a.m. on the 21st due to the burning of straw in the field by Ma Moumou at 3:00 p.m. The fire was extinguished at 3:00 a.m. on the 21st. Ma Moumou himself was burned while fighting the open fire. The fire area is still being verified.
The forest fire in Yangjiao Township, Zuoquan County, Jinzhong City, occurred at about 4 p.m. on the 20th, and at about 1 p.m. on the 21st, the fire spread to the Chaoyanggou Scenic Area in Handan City, Hebei Province. As of the evening of the 21st, the fires in the east and west lines in Hebei were basically under control, and due to the strong winds in the mountains, there were still smoke spots at the cliffs on the south line.
