It is noteworthy that on February 5, 2020, the Communist Party of China (CPC) officially published the 17th Central Document No. 1 guiding the work of the “three rural areas” in the 21st century – “The State Council of the CPC Central Committee on grasping the “three rural areas In the “Opinions of the State Council on Grasping the Key Work in the Field of “Three Rural Areas” to Ensure the Achievement of Comprehensive Prosperity on Schedule”, “Resolutely Winning the Battle against Poverty” was listed as one of the major work priorities. In addition, it also includes “speeding up the short board of rural infrastructure and public services against the standard of building a well-off society; ensuring effective supply of important agricultural products and promoting sustainable income of farmers; strengthening rural grass-roots governance; and strengthening measures to safeguard the short board of rural areas.”

In order to continuously promote rural revitalization, the official moves of the CPC have been made.

The Chinese Communist Party‘s Quyi magazine recently published an article titled “The Great Miracle in the History of Human Poverty Reduction”, which means the Communist Party’s National Rural Revitalization Bureau made its first public appearance.

According to a report by the mainland financial media “Interface News” on Feb. 19, it also means that there is an important organization for rural revitalization and a direct function to promote macro strategies on the ground. The official listing of the National Rural Revitalization Bureau and the establishment of rural revitalization bureaus at provincial, municipal and county levels will follow one after another.

It is reported that the establishment of the CPC’s National Rural Revitalization Bureau can be observed roughly along three main lines.

First, the CPC has completed the task of poverty eradication in 2020, effectively solving the basic survival problem of the poor and completely eliminating absolute poverty, which is a fundamental aspect. To move forward.

In December 2020, the Rural Work Conference of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China emphasized that after the victory in poverty eradication, it is necessary to comprehensively promote rural revitalization, which is a historic shift in the focus of the “three rural” work. This has actually set the main tone for the convergence of poverty eradication and rural revitalization.

In addition, as early as October 2017, the top echelon of the Communist Party of China (CPC) proposed the rural revitalization strategy, which has been parallel to the poverty eradication campaign for more than three years, in order to prepare for the convergence of the two in advance on the one hand, and explore the rural revitalization model before seeking the convergence on the other. Since then, the promotion of this strategy has been intensive.
