During the Chinese New Year, 21 people have been killed in homicides in five mainland provinces. The latest news shows that on February 21, a man in Jingquan Village, Lishan Town, Xiangxiang City, Hunan Province, suspected of killing a local Family due to a relationship dispute, four adults were killed and two young children escaped.

The case is only one of the murders that occurred during the Chinese New Year this year, and it follows a series of killings from New Year’s Eve to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year in four other provinces on the mainland that left 17 people dead and two injured.
On Feb. 16 (the fifth day of the Lunar New Year), a major criminal case occurred in Yongyue Village, Shiquan Town, Bei’an City, Heilongjiang Province, where 68-year-old resident Wei Xiaojun killed seven people with a gun and then fled with the gun. The seven people killed were from four different families, one with three mouths, one with two mouths and the other two with one mouth each. on February 17, the suspect Wei Xiaojun’s body was found near the crime scene.
February 15 (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year) at 3:00 p.m., Zunhua City, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, Ping’an Town, Magizhuang East Village, Hao and Liu and other people due to a verbal conflict fight, Hao and the other two were stabbed by Liu with a knife. Hao was rescued and died, the other two people were injured.
On February 12 (the first day of the Lunar New Year) at about 14:27, a murder case occurred in Chang’an Town, Haining County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. A 33-year-old man (from Henan) killed his 28-year-old wife (from Sichuan) in the street.
On February 11 (New Year’s Eve), a tragic murder occurred in the town of Baotai, Pingyi County, Shandong Province. Liu, a local villager, brutally killed the six-member family of Lin, a debtor, to collect 6,000 RMB in arrears. Afterwards, Liu committed suicide in fear of the crime.
