Nangong City, Xingtai, Hebei Province, has been closed to the public for nearly 50 days, and even the channels for medical treatment have been set up with heavy barriers. A local resident suddenly fell ill, but because he could not go out on his own and could not get through to the help line, he ended up missing the best Time for treatment resulting in paralysis.

The hospital does not accept the authorities hotline can not be reached missed treatment time

On Feb. 20, Nangong citizen Sun Ming (a pseudonym) told the Epoch Times that his father had an acute brain infarction on the morning of Jan. 19, and the situation was very urgent.

The Family immediately called 120 emergency, but the phone went unanswered; they then called the private Ji’nan Great Wall Hospital and were told they could not receive treatment.

After the hospital’s direct channel failed, they called the relevant community leaders, but “the phone was bursting at the seams, either not answering or simply hanging up the phone”.

From 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 14 or 15 hours after his father’s illness, the community finally got through.

Sun Ming said, “He helped find an ambulance, but it was already late in the evening, people arrived at the (Nangong) Hospital, the doctor said the best treatment time has been missed. If you go to the hospital in time, you can do thrombolysis if you get to the hospital within 6 hours as the doctor said.”

The hospital took a CT of Sun Ming’s father’s brain at that time, which showed that the thrombus had just formed and the situation was not very serious. Subsequently, the hospital decided to take infusion and medication treatment, but three days later, the CT was taken again, and it was found that “the lesion was particularly strong”.

“At that time, my father was highly comatose, unconscious and in danger.” Sun Ming said.

“Nangong at that time the size of the hospital, including the clinic did not open, only the Chinese hospital. If you don’t go there, you can’t see, if the patient can’t resist, then you can only listen to the hospital, it said how to cure, that can’t be helped, on that one hospital.”

After 7 days of hospitalization and infusion, the doctor said they had used up all the options available, but the old man’s illness had not improved.

In an emergency, the family called the mayor’s hotline, hoping to be transferred to the city’s three hospitals. The operator kept saying that “it has been reflected upwards, but it has been delayed.”

So, Sun Ming again to the next level, his father was then transferred to the Nangong County People’s Hospital for a week, and let out of the hospital.

Want to go to a higher level hospital but can not get out of Nangong

At present, Sun Ming’s father is not very clear consciousness, in addition to the right hand, other parts of the body can not move, Life can not take care of themselves.

Sun Ming’s family wants his father to receive further treatment to recover faster, but the road to medical treatment is still full of obstacles.

According to official reports, the entire area of Nangong has been downgraded to a low-risk area since February 8. The local authorities have so far severely enforced the closure of the city and the village, making it difficult for the people to move around.

Sun Ming said, “We contacted (other) hospitals ourselves, and the hospitals said they had to issue procedures (to be accepted) from Nangong’s hospitals, but Nangong County Hospital would not give them.”

“We still want to go to the hospital in Xingtai or Shijiazhuang for treatment, but now we can’t get out. Contacted Xingtai hospital and said they need to do the nucleic acid report. At first they were not accepting patients from Nangong, but now they are accepting, but (Fengcheng Fengcun) still can’t get out of Nangong, so they can’t go.”

Sun Ming said, “Our idea now is that no matter what way it is, as long as we can go over (Xingtai) on the line, to do any test there, as long as we can see the doctor on the line, now we definitely want to go to Xingtai City Hospital, the second hospital in the province.”

The authorities do not arrange for the hospital will not admit coronary heart patients seeking medical treatment without a door

Liu Xing (a pseudonym), a villager from Liujiazhuang Village, Wangdaozhai Township, Nangong, also told the Epoch Times that his father had a coronary heart attack on January 17, when he was already in a coma.

The family immediately reflected to the village clerk, the response was that they would “reflect to the township government”, but “after waiting for four days, I did not see an ambulance to pull people”.

On January 22, the family called the mayor’s hotline and was told to “contact them as soon as possible”. A few days later, the ambulance finally came to the door to take his father to the emergency department of Nangong Chinese Hospital.

However, even after arriving at the hospital, the patient did not receive proper treatment. Liu Xing disclosed, “The hospital said no beds are not admitted to the hospital, said so ‘regulations’. We have no choice, the people are like this.”

In the end, his father only spent one night in the emergency room, a bottle of fluids, a few pills, and was pulled Home again, the hospital simply does not care about the specific condition.

Liu Xing said his father had been having trouble breathing after he returned home. He has only one idea: “If you can help contact the Nangong Hospital on the line, we will go directly to the hospital, eat and eat at least is not a matter.”

He also said, “We people themselves how to contact many times, do not care. The hospital said in one sentence that it was full, and our phones were bursting at the seams. (The village) are closed to get out, or the government to help arrange.”

“What to buy Food basically by robbery”

In addition to the difficulty of access to medical care, there are local people reflect that the blockade period of living materials are not guaranteed.

Wang Ping (a pseudonym), a resident of Nangong City’s Jin Rust Garden district, told the Epoch Times that when the Epidemic first began, authorities arranged for each district to be docked with a supermarket, and owners placed orders in the corresponding WeChat groups, which then supplied the supermarkets with things.

Wang Ping’s neighborhood is managed by the Nangong City Tax Bureau. But for some reason, after the initial docking of the supermarket, no one cares, the residents can only find their own way to order from the Internet.

Wang Ping said, “(divided) to here (community) is particularly small, buy food or something basically by grabbing, can grab on something to eat, grab can not do anything, can only wait. I do not know whether it is the problem of the property or the supermarket.”

They feedback to the property and the regional director, the problem is not solved.

Wang Ping said they can not go out of the district now, at most, only let downstairs to dump the garbage. She heard in recent days that it may be unsealed, the situation is a little better, you can go online to buy something from somewhere else.

She said, “This afternoon another notice to do nucleic acid, it is already about 11 times.”
