Something bit my butt! Woman attacked by camping and saw a bear under the toilet

A woman in Alaska recently went camping in the wilderness, and when she was ready to go to the toilet at night, her buttocks were attacked by a bear hiding under the toilet, but fortunately she was only slightly injured.

The Associated Press reported on the 19th that Shannon (Shannon Stevens) followed her brother Erik (Erik Stevens) and his girlfriend, a group of three people riding snowmobiles on the 13th, ran to the southeast of Alaska near Chilkat Lake (Chilkat Lake), ready to spend the night in Erik’s dome tent.

According to Shannon’s recollection, she finished her dinner and ran to an outdoor toilet about 50 meters away, “As soon as I sat down on the toilet, something bit me in the butt right away. Honestly…I really didn’t expect it to be a bear. I don’t know what it was, it just hurt enough to scream.”

As soon as he heard the scream, Eric immediately rushed over with his headlamp and found Shannon feeling the wound, originally he thought a small animal bite like a squirrel or mink, but as soon as the toilet seat was lifted, “a bear’s face was down there, as high as the toilet seat, staring back across the toilet hole, staring straight at me.”

Eric immediately covered the toilet seat as fast as he could and told Shannon, “The bear is down there, let’s run now,” and the two siblings rushed back to the dome tent as fast as they could. As soon as they were sure it was safe to go back inside, they immediately found a first aid kit and discovered that her injuries were not serious, just bleeding.

The next morning, Shannon and his team found bear tracks all around the area and could see him crossing the snow and going straight to the outdoor toilet, believing that the bear had entered the outdoor toilet through the opening at the bottom of the back door.

Carl Koch, a biologist with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, said he suspected that Shannon had been attacked by a black bear from the photos of the tracks and the sightings two days earlier, guessing that the poor harvest of salmon and berries had caused the bear to hibernate in the den and not take in enough fat, so it went out more often or earlier. Koch also suspects that Shannon was hit by a bear paw, “As far as I know, sitting down in the winter while being hit in the butt by a bear, she may be the only person on earth who has encountered this”.

Shannon, a resident of Alaska, followed her brother Eric and his girlfriend on a camping trip on the 13th, just as she was about to use the toilet in the outdoor toilet at night, her buttocks were immediately bitten.
