Trump meets with House Republican whip U.S. military base bombed for 3 days, 1 dead and more injured, Biden makes sharp U-turn to surrender?

Trump, House Republican Whip Meet on Hay Lake Lodge

U.S. House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.)

House Republican Whip Steve Scalise met with former President Trump in Florida on Tuesday, his office confirmed. Scalise’s team declined to disclose details of his meeting with Trump.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) previously traveled to Florida to meet with former President Trump.

In the 2020 election, Republicans added 15 seats to the House of Representatives, significantly narrowing the Democratic majority. Republicans believe they can take control of the House in the 2022 midterm elections.

In a statement issued Feb. 16 against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Trump said, “Where necessary and appropriate, I will endorse those who support Make America Great Again (MAGA) and “America First” policies. We need leaders who are exceptional, strong, thoughtful and compassionate.”

Next week, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) will be held in Florida, and Matt Schlapp, president of the American Conservative Union helped organize the conference. He said he himself extended an invitation to Trump.

Trump has reportedly accepted the invitation.

A new Quinnipiac University poll showed that 75 percent of Republicans surveyed want the former president to continue to play a leading role in the party after four stormy years in the White House, while only 20 percent of Republicans surveyed said they do not.

Biden‘s massive economic revitalization case hard to pass, Democrats face split crisis

Although Biden and the Democratic Congressional Caucus are working together to promote the $1.9 trillion bailout bill, which may exceed the Epidemic bailout bill, there are disagreements within the party over the next round of the massive economic revitalization program, and Congress is in a 50/50 split between the two parties, so there is little chance of passing the bill. The Democratic Party is facing a crisis of division as people from all sides are fighting each other.

World Journal reported that the economic revitalization bill that Biden will introduce next may exceed the epidemic relief bill in amount. Congress is in a 50-50 situation, with little chance of passing. The priority bills that the Biden Administration will promote next will bring out various needs, from fighting climate change to promoting immigration policy, with various initiative groups fighting for inclusion in the bill.

The Democratic Party is facing a crisis of division as people from all walks of Life compete against each other. In the process of promoting the epidemic relief bill, Democratic congressmen are generally united, despite the different views on raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour and other issues, the bill is expected to be voted on and passed in the House next week.

If another economic bill is introduced that costs several trillion dollars and is not relevant to the emergency relief, moderate Democratic members of Congress will be deterred. The Democratic Party is now in internal debate over where the budget for the future bill will come from and how to raise taxes.

In addition, Biden vowed to reopen schools within 100 days of taking office, but the Biden administration has released conflicting news in recent weeks. Biden said late on the 16th that he hoped to keep most elementary schools open five days a week within the 100-day target, but his spokesman said last week that he was considering keeping more than 50 percent of schools open at least one day a week.

Biden’s staffers downplayed the aforementioned contradiction, arguing that after the epidemic improves, more school districts will open without the controversy; political analysts believe that if Biden fails to deliver on his promise, he may violate voters’ expectations.

Three days after the bombing of the U.S. military base, the Biden administration made a sharp U-turn and surrendered? Commentary by Wang Dulan

Last week, Biden made a strong statement that sanctions would not be lifted to induce Iran to return to nuclear talks. On Monday, pro-Iranian militant groups rocketed U.S. military bases in Iraq. Three days later, the Biden administration turned its policy toward Iran, announcing a return to nuclear talks and the lifting of some sanctions against Iran.

On Feb. 18, a State Department spokesman said the U.S. accepted the European Union’s invitation to attend the “six plus one talks” on the Iranian nuclear issue. The six-plus-one negotiations are between France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, China and Germany and Iran. “The Six Plus One negotiations resulted in the Iran nuclear deal in 2015. Obama gave Iran at least $1.7 billion in cash. The Trump Administration withdrew from the deal in 2018 and fully reinstated sanctions against Iran.

In addition, the Biden administration also sent a letter to the United Nations to withdraw the document on Iran sanctions that the Trump administration submitted to the UN Security Council last September. In the letter just sent, the Biden administration announced that the international community’s sanctions against Iran have been lifted through the UN’s Resolution 2231, and therefore the Trump administration’s September announcement of new sanctions against Iran is null and void.

The Biden administration also announced an easing of restrictions on Iranian diplomats, allowing them to move freely in and around New York. The Trump administration had restricted all Iranian diplomats to the U.N. headquarters in New York and several nearby streets, and also specified a round-trip route for Iranian diplomats from JFK Airport to New York.

On Monday, at least three rockets struck a U.S.-led coalition base in northern Iraq. The attack wounded one U.S. service member and five contractors, and killed another contractor, Reuters reported. Two U.S. officials said the dead were not American nationals.

But according to Hong Kong‘s Oriental Daily News, the rocket attack left at least one dead and eight wounded, and sources said the contractor killed was an American.

Commentator Wang Duk-ran said Biden’s approach is to tell the world that the U.S. owes a beating and that whoever dares to hit the U.S. will get the benefit of the doubt. This will undoubtedly encourage Kim Jong-un and the Chinese Communist Party, and terrify America’s allies.

Pompeo: Returning to Iran Nuclear Deal Would Hurt U.S.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday, Feb. 18, at the ninth annual Jewish Values International Champion Awards Gala that he said the U.S. can’t go back to the Iran nuclear deal, that not only won’t stop Iran, but is also damaging to the United States.

Pompeo added: “No one will ever again deny the threat that the Islamic Republic poses to the United States, Israel and the Arab Gulf states.” His remarks were seen as a response to the current Biden administration’s intention to return to the Iran nuclear deal.

In his award speech, Pompeo also emphasized, “We can’t go back. When President Biden talks about turning back, the American people can’t afford to turn back on those policies.”

He criticized the Obama administration for caving in to the Iranian regime and striking a “lame deal” that Iran could “pinch Obama’s”.

He added: “They signed a deal that presented a pathway that gave (Iran) a clear and unambiguous way to get a nuclear weapon. And when the Iranians realize that’s the deal, they can hold the United States hostage, and they will continue to inflict damage on the American people.”

Texas Democratic Mayor Pleads to Warn Biden: Don’t Send Illegal Immigrants

The U.S. state of Texas is currently facing a troubling situation with extreme weather and power outages. On Wednesday (17), Del Rio’s Democratic mayor Bruno Lozano pleaded with his fellow president Joe Biden to stop releasing undocumented immigrants into the area, they can’t afford it anymore.

In a video message to Biden, Lozano said, “I beg and plead with you, please stop any measures regarding the release of immigrants awaiting trial into the city of Del Rio and the surrounding area.” The city no longer has the resources available to house and care for the influx of illegal immigrants across the Texas-Mexico border.

Lozano said reluctantly, “I have no choice but to take the extreme step of issuing an emergency declaration as mayor of Del Rio, Texas, denying immigrants awaiting trial access to the city of Del Rio.”

Lozano warned Biden, “If you send these people into our community, we will be forced to make decisions and they will have no resources in this dire situation.”

Texas has been without power for a wide area due to the winter storm, and while some power has now been restored to homes and businesses, authorities estimate that about 500,000 households are still without power as of Thursday, and many remain without safe drinking water. Seven million people in the state have been warned to boil water before drinking.

Facebook has been paid to bully Australia, and has been exposed for taking money for the Communist Party’s big foreign propaganda

Facebook recently counteracted the Australian government’s legislation requiring payment to the news industry, and brazenly closed all Australian news content. At this Time, a foreign investigation revealed that Facebook received money from the Chinese Communist Party to publish a big foreign propaganda on the platform denying the persecution of the Uyghur people in Xinjiang.

Citing The Press Gazette, World Journal reported that Facebook received money from Beijing authorities to place articles that downplayed “ethnic cleansing in Xinjiang,” including China Daily and China Global Television Network (CGTN), which both paid hundreds of dollars to promote the articles to millions of users.

China Daily, for example, was charged $400 by Facebook to promote an October article in which it accused the West of “lying” and spreading “disinformation,” and a video in which it claimed that reports of detention centers in Xinjiang were “In another video, the newspaper claims that reports of detention centers in Xinjiang are “completely false” and “a Western media ploy,” while another report states that “persecution in Xinjiang is a myth that the Western media refuse to give up.

According to the Facebook ad’s analytics site, the sponsored content focused on “young Nepalese” who border Xinjiang, and the articles showed clips of Western commentators discussing the plight of Uighurs and alleging that “politicians, think tanks and the media work together to create a narrative that maliciously inflames public opinion and infiltrates public public consciousness.”

Last month, as U.S. pressure on Uighur re-Education camps increased, the Chinese media increased its “distribution efforts” by paying Facebook on January 26 to broadcast an article contradicting an Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) report that alleged the report found evidence of 380 re-education camps in Xinjiang to be “completely false.”

Even though Facebook is blocked in mainland China, state-run organizations such as CGTN, China Daily, Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily and CCTV (China Central Television) still use the social media outlet for propaganda purposes. These media outlets account for five of the top six most liked news pages on Facebook worldwide.
