Biden: Bring back illegal immigrants deported by Trump to the U.S. for amnesty

The Breitbart News reported Friday that Biden plans to flood the U.S. labor market with millions of newly legalized illegal immigrants and more legal immigrants, and that illegal immigrants who have already been deported could return to the United States to apply for Amnesty.

Biden’s plan was formally introduced in Congress on Thursday by Senator Bob Menendez, a Democrat. The plan would grant amnesty to the estimated 11 million to 22 million illegal immigrants currently living in the United States, increasing the number of legal immigrants beyond the current annual admission of 1.2 million green cards. Most importantly, illegal aliens who have already been deported from the United States would also be able to receive amnesty. Specific provisions allow illegal aliens who have already been deported from the U.S. to receive a waiver from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to return to the U.S. and apply for amnesty, as long as they have not been convicted of a felony or three misdemeanors.

The Trump administration has deported nearly 900,000 illegal aliens in four years, many of whom have not been convicted of a crime. In fiscal year 2019 alone, more than 117,000 illegal aliens were deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). These individuals are eligible to return to the U.S. without a conviction and benefit from Biden’s amnesty.

Millions of illegal aliens considered farm workers, most of whom are Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) beneficiaries, are also able to obtain green cards through this program.

Biden’s plan would also provide TPS to all other illegal aliens for eight years before allowing them to apply for green cards and eventually become U.S. citizens. The amnesty, combined with an increase in the number of permits for most visa categories, would allow the number of legal immigrants in the United States to surge within 10 years.
