After six days of winter storms, Texans finally get Biden’s greetings and 60 generators

On Thursday night (Feb. 18), Joe Biden finally broke his silence on the Texas storm damage, tweeting on the sixth day of damage in Texas, “Tonight, I called Texas Governor Greg Abbott to discuss the current situation in Texas and to identify ways the federal government can support Texas’ recovery from the storm. I made it clear to the governor that I would work tirelessly to provide the curated state with what they need.”

U.S. media outlet Breitbart News reported Friday that the White House’s version was that Biden and the governor discussed the severe cold that crippled Texas’ water and power facilities.” Biden asked the Texas governor to convey his support for the people of Texas during this difficult Time. Biden reiterated that the federal government will continue to work hand-in-hand with the state of Texas and local authorities to provide relief to affected families and address their critical needs.”

Following the call, the White House announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) had sent 60 generators to Texas to help residents across the state, explaining that this was because Texas had not requested more than one generator. FEMA has also provided Food, water and blankets to Texas, the exact number of which was not known. The White House said Biden will direct more federal agencies to assist Texas residents.

As of Thursday, 600,000 Texas residents were still without power, and at least 30 deaths in Texas were linked to the storm, with more rolling blackouts possible. Biden approved the Texas state of emergency declaration last Sunday (14) and on Thursday approved declarations of emergency for Oklahoma and Louisiana.

The crowd responded pointedly under the tweet.

“We need plumbing supplies. Push-in fittings, pipe, etc. And we needed it two days ago.”

“Don’t you think it’s a little late? Three days into the crisis and they’re acting like they’re the saviors. Typical Democrat do-gooder. “

“When you wait 4 or 5 days to call and “see” what the people need? People are already dead! You should have declared an emergency on the first day! People are already freezing to death, no food, no water, and you’re building a fire in the fireplace. Come on, man!”

“Are you a real president? A real president would go 4 days without saying a word? And then post a picture of his desk looking like he’s doing something admirable? But, yes, let’s “take care” of something that’s almost over.”

Biden also reportedly spoke Tuesday with Abbott and six other governors affected by the storm, who are.

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards (John Bel Edwards),

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (R),

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly (R), Tennessee Governor Bill Clinton (R), and Kansas Governor John Bel Edwards (R).

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, and

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves and

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R).
