U.S. media outlet Breitbart News reported Friday that Biden had committed to a visit to Texas that day. Biden confirmed to reporters at the White House that he wants to go to Texas next week, but only if he can do it “without burdening folks.
Biden said, “I want to be a president that serves all Americans.” Biden said he is ready to move forward with a proposal to declare Texas a major disaster in order to provide more federal relief.
“Once that declaration is in front of me, I’ll sign it,” Biden said Friday.” God willing, we’ll bring relief to a lot of Texans.”
The Breitbart News reports that Biden has been publicly silent about the Texas disaster for several days, except for three posts on social media Thursday.
