Bloomberg: Apple developed iPhone magnetic action power supply is expected to become a hot new accessories

Bloomberg cites sources reporting that Apple is developing a wireless charging magnetic power supply for the latest iPhone models as a new accessory that could become another of the company’s new best-selling items.

Apple has spent at least a year developing this accessory and plans to launch it within a few months of the iphone 12 launch, sources close to the situation said.

The report points out that this action power can be sucked on the back of the iPhone 12 through the iPhone 12’s MagSafe system, and the difference between the battery accessories that have been launched for the iPhone in the past is that this action power will only provide longer battery Life for the iPhone and will not have the function of a protective case.

It is understood that, according to Apple’s internal testing, this action power has been able to ensure that it will not come loose easily, but other software problems have led to a slowdown in the development of this accessory, for example, the iPhone may incorrectly show that the battery is overheating. Apple is also trying to solve the problem that customers will encounter when using this accessory to put on and take off the case. Because of these R&D challenges, Apple may delay or even abandon the release of the accessory, the sources said.
