The Gateway Pundit reported Thursday that House Democrats introduced legislation the same day to prevent twice-impeached U.S. presidents from being buried in Arlington Cemetery and to keep federal funds from being spent on buildings that display their names or recognize their accomplishments. Democrats have dubbed the bill the “No Glory for Hate” bill. Although Trump is not mentioned by name in the proposed legislation, he is the only president to have been impeached twice by the House of Representatives.

The “Hate Without Glory” bill, introduced by Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-California, was drafted on Jan. 25 and referred to the Oversight and Reform Committee in addition to the Transportation and Infrastructure, Natural Resources, Military Services and Veterans Affairs committees.
“For years, Trump poured gasoline on lies, encouraged racism and hate and then lit the match on Jan. 6,” Sanchez said in a statement last month.
“A president who has been impeached twice should not be given the honor of being a former president,” Sanchez added.” We should never glorify the hate that Trump has personified as president. This bill ensures that no hate gets glory, that no building, no statue, not even a park bench, will give glory to hate.”
The bill specifically prevents federal funds from being used to “create or display any marker, monument, or statue honoring any former president who has been impeached twice by the House of Representatives,” including “any highway, park, subway, federal building, military installation, street, or other federal property.”
The bill also prevents Trump from being buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
The bill states that “any decision made by the Secretary of the Army to allow any former president who has been impeached twice by the House of Representatives to be buried or entombed at Arlington National Cemetery shall not be approved by the Secretary of Defense.”
In addition, the bill states that a twice-impeached president “shall not be entitled to any benefits under this Act other than the protection of the Secret Service.” The bill also states.
“No Federal funds or other Federal financial assistance shall be made available to a State, its political subdivisions, or entities if any Federal funds or other Federal financial assistance is to be used for any building, land, structure, facility, or any other property that is to be named or designated in honor of a former President who was twice impeached by the House of Representatives. other federal financial assistance.”
The Gateway Pundit commented on this approach as being completely out of their minds and consumed by hate.
The bill has 13 co-sponsors, all Democrats, who are.
