According to the CCTV, the film is an “insightful and great thought” delivered to CPC members and cadres by interpreting ancient texts and classical quotations cited in Xi Jinping’s latest important speeches and articles. Analysis suggests that this move is intended to “unify the mind.
Recently, the Chinese Communist Party authorities have often launched various learning applications that require Party members and cadres to study Xi Jinping’s speeches to establish the values of “listening to the Party, following the Party” and “keeping in line with the Party Central Committee. According to the CCTV news broadcast on the mainland, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and CCTV recently jointly produced a new film on learning Xi Jinping, which will be broadcast this Thursday night: “A special program jointly produced by the Central Propaganda Department and the China Central Radio and Television (CRTV), “Ping “Words” Near to the People”, will be broadcast on Thursday night. -Xi Jinping’s favorite allusions” (second season), will be broadcast on CCTV comprehensive channel every night at 8:00 pm from February 18 onwards. Scholars: It shows that factional struggle within the party is very serious
July 1 this year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and more than 10 official applications for learning the history of the CPC have been launched recently. In an interview with Radio Free Asia this Thursday, Beijing-based independent scholar Ji Feng said that the Chinese Propaganda Department is launching a TV program praising Xi Jinping at this moment: “This is arranged, and it was written at least a year ago. The Communist Party has all this propaganda preplanned in advance, everything is designed to ‘unify the mind’, now it is because there are different voices that he says there are ambitious people in the Party, now there are ambitious people in the Party shows that the factional struggle in the Party is very serious, he can only go down (demand), so the so-called flat ‘language ‘ close to the people, is said to the ordinary people and ordinary party members to listen.”

The program is divided into 12 episodes, covering four aspects of party leadership cultivation, socialist core values, the new development concept, and the Chinese dream, etc., building a platform for great ideological enlightenment and sincere emotional transmission that connects the ancient and the modern, blending scenes and depths.”
One hundred years of the Chinese Communist Party is either anti-Left or anti-right
The authorities are most worried about the political orientation and attitude of the 1.4 billion people in the country toward the CPC: “My peers in 1989 told me that the great, glorious and correct CPC made a shocking mistake, and then corrected it in a great and glorious way. The history of the Communist Party has never been on the right path. It was either anti-‘left’ or anti-right, and it never stopped.”
Guo Baosheng, a U.S.-based scholar who graduated from Renmin University of China’s philosophy department, told the station that CCTV’s prime-Time broadcast of “Ping ‘Words’ Near to the People” is a continuation of the cult of the individual: “Just like the quotations from Chairman Mao back then, it continues to create a cult of the individual for Xi Jinping, and on the other hand it also focuses on the Chinese Dream, in effect is to give a gift to the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party, one of the milestones of the Chinese Dream is to come up with a gift of a lifetime on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party.”
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the CCP’s founding, and Beijing is preparing a series of commemorative and promotional activities. Currently, party, government and military organs across China are studying Xi’s speech, including the rule of law, the history of the CPC, the history of the new China, the history of reform and opening up, and the history of socialist development.
