Chen Ping, a professor at Fudan University who once made a big speech about “2,000 RMB is happier than 3,000 USD”, recently revealed that he has just settled down in Texas, but he was still disparaging the U.S. power system when interviewed by the mainland media. Netizens say that this matter once again perfectly illustrates the “anti-American is work, to the United States is Life“.
On February 15, Chen Ping described his living conditions in Austin, the capital of Texas, to the mainland media Observer. Texas is currently experiencing a cold snap and widespread power outages.
Chen Ping said his “new modern Home is facing an energy crisis” and he is prepared for water, electricity and communication outages. He just drove out to buy a liquefied petroleum gas tank.
In an interview, Chen claimed that local residents were living in difficult conditions, that “buildings can’t survive without electricity” and that homeless people were “abandoned by the government. He also mocked that “the U.S. military is still boasting of a nuclear war with China and Russia, and a single cold wave has crippled the power grid and traffic in nearly half of the coastal areas of the United States.
