Chinese police have sentenced 24 young people to prison for leaking the personal information of Xi Jinping‘s daughter and her brother-in-law on the “Vulgar Wiki” website as “scapegoats. The mother of Niu Tengyu, the most heavily-imprisoned website operator, told reporters today (Feb. 16) that the police, fearing that the crime of torturing Niu Tengyu would come to light, said they would lock him up “until he dies. She herself has been threatened with death for her son’s injustice, and appealed to the media to speak out on her behalf, “You must help me!”
In the “Vulgar Wiki” case, which was triggered by the leak of Xi Jinping’s Family‘s personal information, Niu Tengyu, a 20-year-old operator of the “Vulgar Wiki” website, was accused by the police in Maoming, Guangdong Province, of being the “main culprit” and was heavily sentenced to 14 years at the end of last year.
The mother of Niu Tengyu told this reporter today, “Two days ago, someone told me that they were going to exterminate me, ‘His mother was interviewed by the foreign media, and she was exterminated, and she was not allowed to speak.'”
She said she has been pushed to the edge and is ready to go out on a limb. “But I’m not afraid anymore, I’ll answer anyone who calls me, you’ve wronged me like this, and I can’t do justice? I want people to interview me. You have made me unable to live, I am still afraid of what ah? My son has been sentenced to 14 years by you, his whole youth will be ruined, I have been disabled by you, my Parents have been killed by you, my eyes are going blind now, you have to fine our family so many kinds of money, I can’t get it out now, how long do you think I can live? I do not know if I can still see my son, I am still afraid that you destroy me?”
Niu Teng Yu’s mother told reporters that after learning that her child was sentenced, she fainted at once and woke up, she could barely see anything. In a trance, a day accidentally broke his leg, the right leg of the meniscus damage, can not go out to earn money, the disease coupled with the mental blow, the body is very weak, but she now does not even have the money to see a doctor. The authorities not only sentenced the child to imprisonment, but also to a fine of 130,000 yuan, “even if a kind-hearted person, even if I lend me some money, I can not spend, but also to execute my payment. I’m being forced to live, I’m getting depressed, I really hope everyone can save me and my children. I can’t even live anymore. They have labeled my children as political prisoners, causing many people to stay away from me, thinking I am the mother of a political prisoner, and I am especially depressed, and I don’t even have anyone to talk to.”
After Niu Tengyu was arrested in August 2019, he disappeared for a Time, “They deprived me of all information, we thought the child died, my mother died on the first day of the New Year, and then my father fell ill and died a few months later. I was left alone to stare at this house every day.”
Niu Tengyu’s mother said several parents of young people in this case have been threatened and intimidated and are suffering from illnesses. “It’s frightening, because this wrongful death case has led to several mothers being hospitalized with mental illness, some of them have cancer and a second operation because of it, and even more with depression, and they are very scared.”
She said the authorities also threatened the lawyers, “The day before the trial, all the lawyers in Maoming were gathered by them at the Justice Bureau for threats, confiscating electronic devices, not even giving you the opportunity to defend our case, not letting you speak.”
After the family of the convicted young man appealed, the court refused to provide the case file, but urged the lawyers to submit their defense, showing signs of dismissing the appeal and speeding up the case.
Niu Tengyu’s mother disclosed that the court suspended the operation under pressure from many parties, “the media, ah, well-wishers are calling them, ah, parents also jointly sued them, ah, under the intervention of many parties, they suspended.” But the lawyers were still not allowed to access the files, “because there are too many loopholes in the verdict. I was crying at Home, but I laughed at the verdict because it was so obvious.”
Niu Tengyu’s mother pointed out that the verdict, “The criminal facts of the defendant Niu Tengyu’s provocation” (p. 10), states, “Niu Tengyu made 8 comments and uploaded 20 pictures, with a total of 748 user contributions. Of these, 463 items and 83 items relate to the construction and management of the website. The user “ESU DMCA Agent” created 51 entries on the page, of which 3 entries contain infringement of citizen information: Li Mou – Bad Dog Wiki, Zhang Moupeng, Liu Mouquan”. From the content of the above verdict shows that Niu Tengyu only has 285 contribution values. It is the member with the least contribution value to the vile website, but was made the “main offender”. Isn’t it absurd that those who have thousands of contributions are accomplices?
In addition, the first page of the verdict says: “Niu Tengyu was detained on August 22, 2019 on suspicion of aiding criminal activities in the information network,” indicating that Niu Tengyu is not the main culprit at all.
On Feb. 8, the parents of the 10 convicted prisoners sent a joint letter to the judicial authorities in Guangdong Province and Beijing, pointing out that the convicted youngsters had become “victims” of the task force’s efforts to claim credit; the loopholes in the Maoming court’s decision and the unfair verdict would be a great shame in Chinese legal history.
A week has passed, and Niu Tengyu’s mother told the reporter that they have not received any feedback. Asked about her current plans, she said, “We decided to sue, go to Beijing together to sue, are such plans, we ordinary people can still do what? There is no result is an unknown ah.”
Parents in the letter to the prosecutor’s office and other relevant departments, said these young people without experience “because of the words” convicted, the task force to “vulgar wiki” website members of the behavior defined as “evil forces criminal group The “bad” is too bad.
Niu Tengyu’s mother said her son is a very kind and filial child, and the lawyer also spoke highly of him when he met him. “He kept urging the lawyer not to say anything bad about me, just that I was good and I was worried that my mother wouldn’t hold up. The lawyer spoke highly of him, saying that this child, at a glance, is the kind of child who is particularly kind and very righteous, and expressed deep sympathy for the child.”
Lawyer Huang Hanzhong met with Niu Tengyu on Feb. 1 and told his mother, “Niu has shown maturity and talent beyond his years, has confidence in his future, is determined to cooperate with his lawyer to clear his own name and the name of his fellow injustice victims, and has asked his lawyer to express his sincere gratitude to the parents and friends of his fellow inmates who helped care for him and his mother in their hour of need! “
Niu Tengyu’s mother lamented that she and her child were ordinary citizens who did not want to be wronged in this way. “My child is a particularly filial, I am an ordinary Chinese citizen, how can we possibly subvert the country? How can we do that? I really can’t even dream of it, we are so wronged, I really want to say to the people of the world, we are so wronged.”
Niu Tengyu’s mother said that although her son was coerced and tortured, he was very strong and refused to confess to the crime from the beginning: “The public security officials are jumping to their feet and shouting that they want to give you a heavy sentence, who let you disobey, we let you be the main culprit, you have to be the main culprit. If you don’t do the main crime, you will be killed. He just scolded my son directly like that. Many children came out to call me to prove that, auntie, at that time he (police) said, in Foshan said, must be heavy sentence NiuTengYu, otherwise, he will go out to us to beat him this piece to exposure, put him to silly, to death, he will not be exposed.”
About four months ago, Niu Tengyu through his lawyer brought out a statement that he was forced to write hundreds of thousands of words of “self-reporting materials” on hundreds of pages of A4 paper, the contents of which were designated by the public security. The title and outline must be written according to its requirements, within the specified time enough pages, or else only eat white rice, forbidden to sleep, hung up and beaten, etc. During the month from December 10, 2019 to January 20, 2020, he slept less than 30 hours and his right hand was beaten to the point of disability, and he could not move his arm.
Niu Tengyu’s mother said that the facts stated in the indictment and verdict of this case simply do not exist, or those used to support the facts are tampered with, transposed, pieced together, and over-interpreted. It can be said that the case officer in the process of determining, in fact, has been in the interpretation of the transfer of wood, the basic idea is that the first charge to so-and-so head, and then find “evidence” to prove those conclusions, is a kind of backward projection from the results to the cause! To be precise, it is a planting of evidence.
“I must go on, I must be clear, I can’t let my children be wronged for the rest of their lives. You must speak out for me, you must help me,” said Niu Tengyu’s mother.
It is reported that in 2019, Xi Jinping’s daughter Xi Mingze and brother-in-law Deng Jiagui’s photos and other personal information have been exposed on the overseas websites “Red Bank Foundation” and “Chinawiki”, which made the Chinese Communist Party pay great attention and set up a task force to investigate. However, since the founders and maintainers of these two websites were overseas, the authorities had to stop. But because the founders and maintainers of these two sites were overseas, the authorities had to stop. In order to claim credit, the public security authorities in Maoming, Guangdong Province, found that the maintainers and members of “Vulgar Wiki,” a website with almost no political content, were all in mainland China, and arrested and sentenced 24 young people to heavy prison terms.
Xiao Yanrui, the founder of “Vulgar Wiki,” said that it was a Communist Party public security official who really exposed Xi Jinping’s information, selling Xi’s household registration information for 6,000 yuan, after which the first photo of Xi Mingze was exposed; the second photo of Xi Mingze was taken from China’s immigration system, and it is suspected that the police officer involved sold the photo at a very high price to make money.
Earlier this month, an editor-in-chief of Chinawiki and the Red Bank Foundation, who requested anonymity, contacted reporters and stated that he was the person who uploaded Xi Mingze and Xi Jinping’s household registration information to Chinawiki, and that he had taken the lead in disclosing the household registration of the Zhao family (an Internet buzzword referring to the Communist Party’s powerful elite).
At the trial, the Maoming court made no mention of the Xi family’s leaked information, claiming only that they were guilty of “picking quarrels and provoking trouble, damaging computer information systems, and violating citizens’ personal information” and “illegally obtaining citizens’ personal information, including household registration addresses and ID numbers.
