One of the key attorneys in charge of President Trump’s (R-Texas) post-election legal work is preparing to begin hosting a daily video show.
Constitutional lawyer Jenna Ellis took to Twitter (link) and tweeted the announcement.
Ellis said she will work with Just The News and Real America’s Voice to produce the daily show called Just The Truth” is a daily show.
“Just The News is a political news organization founded by veteran journalist John Solomon. Solomon shared a copy of Ellis’ message on Twitter.
After last year’s Nov. 3 presidential election, Ellis traveled to several states in an effort to convince their legislatures to uphold the Constitution’s power to appoint presidential electors. The Trump legal team argued that election laws and rules in states such as Pennsylvania and Georgia that were changed before the election had violated the Constitution.
“A powerful voice of truth, and they’re lucky to have you on board.” Jason Meister, a member of Trump’s campaign advisory council, wrote in a retweet of the message on Twitter.
“Glad to have you on board.” Gina Loudon, a member of the Trump campaign’s media advisory board and president of Real America’s Voice, wrote on Twitter. She added, “Your show is going to be great!”
Ellis did not specify a date for the show’s premiere.
The Trump campaign’s legal action, which has hit a roadblock in court, saw dozens of lawsuits dismissed before the team had a chance to present evidence. During the course of the lawsuit, Ellis, along with another Trump lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, traveled around the country trying to convince state legislatures to take the power to appoint electors, into their own hands. That effort likewise failed.
On Jan. 6, Trump lost the election after Congress audited and certified the Electoral College votes. A joint session of the Middle Congress was interrupted for a Time by the storming of the Capitol, prompting lawmakers to evacuate.
Democrats used the Capitol breach as an opportunity to rush to complete Trump’s second impeachment by the end of the week.
Although some Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, have broken with Trump, Ellis remains a staunch supporter of President Trump.
