U.S. media outlet “Gateway Pundit” reported Sunday that anti-Trump Maryland Governor Republican Larry Hogan echoed Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell’s speech on CNN’s “State of the Union” that morning.
On Saturday, McConnell implied that Trump could still be charged with a crime in the criminal justice system after the U.S. Senate acquitted him of the crime. The Gateway Pundit says these nominal Republicans want Trump gone! To say that Trump could still be charged with a criminal offense is a disgusting and outrageous suggestion from Senate Republican leaders!
On Sunday morning, another Trump hater, Larry Hogan from Maryland, who shares McConnell’s political views, told CNN that Trump could still face criminal charges.
The Daily Caller reported that Governor Hogan told liberal host Jake Tapper, “The vote was yesterday, but I think he’s still going to face some potential court action, criminal court and court of public opinion. This thing is not over and we will decide the fate of Trump and the Republican Party in the next few years.”
Governor Hogan said, “We’re going to have a real battle for the soul of the Republican Party.”
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan told CNN host Tapp that the final chapter of Trump and where the Republican Party is going has yet to be written.
