Despite claims by the Chinese Communist Party authorities that there have been no new confirmed cases and no new asymptomatic infections in Shijiazhuang, Hebei for one week. However, informed netizens disclosed that on the very first day of the Lunar New Year, community workers in the Gaocheng district of Shijiazhuang city were sealing doors door-to-door. And on the third day of the Lunar New Year, Gaocheng District launched its 14th full-scale nucleic acid test since the outbreak began this year.
According to official media reports, there were no new confirmed cases or asymptomatic infections in Hebei Province from Feb. 7 to 24:00 on Feb. 13. The Gaocheng district of Shijiazhuang remains a medium-risk area due to the presence of one asymptomatic case in the district on Feb. 6. However, the emergency and fever clinics of Shijiazhuang Gaocheng People’s Hospital are open from 12 onwards. The emergency clinic mainly receives patients with trauma, maternal and pediatric emergencies and critical illnesses.
And videos posted by netizens show that on February 12, the first day of the Lunar New Year, community workers in Shijiazhuang’s Gaocheng district reapplied seals to residents’ doors, preventing them from going out again. But authorities have not reported anything about this move to close the doors.
On February 14, the third day of the Lunar New Year, Shijiazhuang Gaocheng District launched its 14th full-scale nucleic acid test, and residents again waited in long lines in the cold winter weather for the test. But there was no news report from the authorities.
