Zhao Le Qin stepped down as secretary of Guilin Municipal Committee
On February 9, according to Guangxi Daily’s WeChat public number, Zhao Le Qin no longer serves as secretary, standing committee member and member of the CPC Guilin Municipal Committee.
Zhao Le Qin was born in January 1960 in Xi’an, Shaanxi province. After graduating from Xi’an Highway College in 1978, he has been working in the finance bureau and transportation department in Shangluo, Shaanxi province where his Parents work.
In January 2000, at the age of 42, Zhao Leji was promoted by Jiang Zemin to be the governor of Qinghai Province, becoming the youngest governor in China, and three years later was promoted to be the youngest provincial party secretary. After working in Qinghai for nearly three decades, Zhao Leji returned to Shaanxi as provincial party secretary in 2007, and his younger brother Zhao Leqin also began a rapid rise in his career.
In January 2009, after more than a year as assistant general manager of China Three Gorges Corporation, Zhao Le Qin was transferred south to Guangxi Autonomous Region as secretary of the Hezhou Municipal Party Committee, a major official promotion. A year later, Zhao was transferred to the larger city of Chongzuo as municipal party secretary.
When the 18th National Congress was held and Xi Jinping came to power, Zhao Leji went to Beijing as the head of the Central Organization Department, in charge of the promotion of officials, so his younger brother Zhao Le Qin also became the municipal party secretary of the larger city of Guilin, as well as the head of the Standing Committee of the Guilin Municipal People’s Congress and the first secretary of the Party Committee of the Guilin Police District.

Zhao Le Qin’s two predecessors and promoted female secretaries have fallen
On February 11, Caixin.com published a report, “61-year-old Zhao Le Qin, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi People’s Congress, stepped down as secretary of the Guilin Municipal Party Committee”.
