These poor people are slowly being swallowed up.

I read another article today about the Maryland patients and it stuck in my throat.

More than a year ago, a brucella spill at a biopharmaceutical plant in Lanzhou caused many residents in the surrounding area to contract brucellosis, a disease commonly known as “lazy man’s disease”.

It is also commonly known as “lazy man’s disease”, the patient will feel fatigue and pain in the wandering joints. In severe cases, infertility and multiple organ damage can occur.

The tragedy is that it is a chronic disease. Because it is not fatal in the short term, this creates a potential problem for residents to protect their rights.

The accident happened more than a year ago, the media reported many times, but so far there is no responsible aftermath. What is even more unbelievable is that the suffering of these patients is not even acknowledged.

The local designated hospital, repeatedly gave these patients the diagnosis that they were not suffering from raggedness and did not need treatment. Recently, these patients even received a health certificate from an official panel of experts.

These patients are clearly experiencing joint pain, weakness, recurring colds and fevers, or miscarriages. Yet the hospital says they are not sick, and what could be more absurd than that?

They went to hospitals in Inner Mongolia and to unofficially designated hospitals in Lanzhou, where doctors directly diagnosed the disease as Burkitt’s disease, but they missed the best time for treatment and were unable to receive proper aftercare compensation just because local hospitals did not diagnose the disease.

These patients were pushed into the abyss of fate and could not even find the ladder to climb up.

One detail in the report is particularly heartbreaking. One patient, who was formerly the wife of a month, didn’t dare to take a single case after she fell ill. Although the disease theoretically cannot be passed from one person to another, she was worried that if it was transmitted to other people’s children, it would ruin their lives.

This is such a simple but precious kindness. They are innocent victims, suffering from endless pain, yet they are worried that others will be affected.

But they themselves, with their lives on the line and no one to care about them, can’t even ask for the status of a “patient”. Where is your conscience, those expert groups, those in power who should be held accountable?

The damage to patients is multifaceted.

The physical damage can be lifelong and difficult to repair because the best treatment is not diagnosed in time to give proper treatment.

(c) Discriminatory treatment of students because of their illness, with schools requiring parents to give proof that they are not anthropogenic before their children are accepted.

Because of the panic, the residents of those neighborhoods tried to flee, but they couldn’t sell their houses at a $100,000 price drop.

If the place is not a cover-up, but a responsible face, a lot of harm could have been alleviated, at least the fear that pervades the local area can be alleviated.

At this point, not only are these patients sad and gloomy, but in the eyes of outsiders, this place, even Lanzhou, is “sick”, and people can’t avoid it. Isn’t this a greater tragedy for the place?

Even worse than the bacterial gas leak is the fact that everyone knows what is happening, everyone is watching these poor people being swallowed up in the vortex of fate, and no one is even giving them a hand, and a team of experts is saying that they don’t need treatment.

This is how the credibility of a place is squandered. The vortex is not stopped, the black hole will get bigger and bigger, and one day, those who think they are smart, will also be liquidated.

I call for more solidarity from those who see friends regarding the Maryland patients. Those who think they are moral without their clothes on must be ridiculed and refuted more often.

I would like to conclude this article by quoting a message from one of the posters.

You’re what the authorities say you are, you’re not, you’re not, and the germs have to do what they’re told.

Antibody positive is not a disease, symptom suspected is not a disease, health certificate for all diseases.
