Former NYPD Tibetan police officer Baimadajie Angwang was arrested for illegally acting as an agent of the Chinese government. Baimadajie Angwang, who was arrested for illegally acting as an agent of the Chinese Communist government, was denied bail on behalf of his Family and friends, and his defense attorney applied for him a third Time on December 12.

The judge granted Angwang bail on $2 million in assets, considering the poor sanitary conditions in the prison due to his diagnosis of a Chinese Communist virus in prison.

John Carman raised the bail amount to $2 million, stressing that Ngawang had not received proper care or medication from the Metropolitan Detention Center because he had contracted the virus in prison.

Federal Judge Eric Komitee ruled to accept a $2 million bail for Ngawang, who is currently in isolation without an exact date of release.
