Trump impeachment defense video Madonna “blow up the White House” Johnny Depp “assassination” Trump

U.S. media outlet Breitbart News reported Friday that on the fourth day of Trump‘s impeachment trial in the Senate, Trump’s lawyers went on the offensive, showing clips of remarks by Madonna, Johnny Depp, and several prominent Democrats, including Biden and Kamala Harris, who are advocating physical violence.

Introducing the defense video, Trump’s defense attorney David Schoen said that Democrats who accuse Trump of inciting violence are hypocrites and that “we need to show members of Congress what you once said yourselves.”

In the defense video, viewers can see clips of Biden, Kamala Harris, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Maxie Waters and other Democratic lawmakers advocating political violence.

Johnny Depp exclaims in the video, “When was the last Time a president was assassinated?” Madonna’s 2017 speech at the Women’s March on Washington was also included in the video, with Madonna saying, “I have a lot of ideas for blowing up the White House.” Here is the full version of Madonna’s speech as recorded by the Associated Press.

Breitbart News notes that Madonna and Johnny Depp are not the only famous actors to advocate political violence, as several Hollywood superstars have incited political violence over the past four years, mostly against Trump, with the most infamous incident involving comedian Kathy Griffin waving a model of Trump’s head, suggesting she had decapitated him.

Actors Robert De Niro (Robert De Niro) and Jeff Daniels (Jeff Daniels), both of whom expressed a desire to smash Trump’s face in.

Debra Messing (Debra Messing) tweeted that she wished Trump had been raped (tweet deleted).
