U.S. media outlet Breitbart News reported Friday that Trump‘s defense attorney played the full video during the day’s Senate impeachment hearing, where Trump could clearly be heard saying that neo-Nazis and white supremacy were “totally reprehensible.”
The House impeachment manager, on Thursday, played a selection of clips from Trump’s 2017 speech, which attempted to lead people to believe that the neo-Nazi thugs who committed murder in Charlottesville were described by Trump as “very nice people.” Impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Ill.) tried to use the clip to show that Trump encouraged or condoned the violence of his supporters.
But Trump’s defense attorney, David Schoen, dealt Jamie Raskin a head-on blow. Schoen defended on Friday that “until the truth has a chance to put on its shoes, lies will be spread around the world.” The phrase “both sides are fine” about Charlottetown went around the world several times, became a focus of the Biden campaign and eventually came to the Senate. If you heard all of Trump’s speech, you would know what the truth is.
In the full video Trump clearly points out that “neo-Nazis and white supremacists should be totally condemned.”
Attorney Sean concluded, “This is probably the first Time today that the mainstream media has presented viewers with the full picture of Trump’s speech, and you’ve heard it said many times in the news that President Trump has never condemned white supremacists. Now you know the truth.” Trump said neo-Nazis and white supremacists should be “fully condemned.”
Sean also pointed out that the House’s impeachment managers manipulated other evidence and violated the rules so badly that they would be subject to disciplinary action by the courts.
