There are 80,000 bodies hidden under a park!

Located in Liverpool, England’s “Grant Gardens” (Grant Gardens) a turf suddenly collapsed, appearing a large and deep hole.

The local resident Shirley (Shirley Hand) not only witnessed the whole process, but also confessed that “as long as the thought of here many years ago was a cemetery, buried up to 80,000 bodies”, so she did not dare to look down.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Grant Gardens was a large cemetery in Liverpool, England in the 19th century, with an estimated 80,000 bodies buried there until it was converted into a park during the two World Wars and opened in 1914. Although the gravestones and related monumental buildings in the cemetery have now been removed, the graves underneath the ground are treated as infill and the structure is still intact.

In this regard, the city council spokesman said that the grave may not have been filled correctly, coupled with the recent weather is too wet, the problem of collapse will occur, and explained that the relevant units have come to the scene to investigate, has planned to fill the collapsed hole first, and re-build a mound of earth to prevent the collapse again after.
