Louisiana sheriffs dropped a lawsuit against the Chinese Communist Party that sought damages for the spread of the New Crown virus (CCP) in the United States and the damage it caused, according to the Associated Press on Monday.
The Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in federal court in New Orleans on Monday, but did not mention the reasons for the request, the sources said.
Sources also said that last May, Sheriff Daniel Edwards (Daniel Edwards) filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of sheriffs across the country. The lawsuit alleges that there is evidence that the new coronavirus originated in a laboratory in China and that the spread of the virus and its impact on U.S. commerce has resulted in lost revenue for sheriffs from various fees and taxes, including fees tied to property values.
