The Breitbart News reports that Pompeo warned on Fox’s “Mornings with Maria” that the world would be “very different” if Biden mishandled China.
In an interview with “Mornings with Maria” host Maria Bartiromo, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged President Joe Biden and his administration to focus on getting the policy toward China right. Earlier, Biden was silent on China’s (Communist) announcement of sanctions against 28 Americans, including some who were members of President Donald Trump‘s administration.
Pompeo argued that the world would be “a very different place” if Biden had done the wrong thing. If so, he said, the United States would see “a lack of prosperity.”
“This policy toward China,” Pompeo suggested, “…… is important to everyone who is looking for a job there.” If we do this wrong, Maria, we will live in a very different world. If we don’t get this right, we will see that these sanctions against our leaders will pale in comparison to the pain and the lack of prosperity that will occur in the United States of America. This is one of the things that I’m most proud of doing, we protected American jobs. We protected American businesses. We made sure our intellectual property was in a better place. Those are the ultimate things.”
He added, “I hope these voices are heard by this administration. The American people are now aware. What happened with COVID (the Chinese Communist virus) should not have happened. All the millions of jobs that were lost because of the Wuhan virus (CCP virus) should not have happened. But the way the CCP acted, it created a huge risk that hundreds of thousands of people in the US lost their lives and the average American lost billions of dollars in personal income . These are the things that I really want the government to focus on.”
