The number of deaths in the U.S. from the communist virus (coronavirus) surpassed the 450,000-strong milestone on Thursday night (Feb. 4), according to data. According to Johns Hopkins University, some 456,461 people had died as of Friday morning.
In the United States, the number of deaths per day from the Communist virus remains high, with more than 3,000 deaths per day. In the past two weeks, more than 40,000 people have died in the United States.
As of 1:30 p.m. EST on Friday (Feb. 5), the number of deaths in the U.S. in the past 24 hours topped 5,000 for the first Time, with 5,085 deaths due to Covid-19 infection. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is nearly 27 million.
The biggest driving state for U.S. deaths in the past month has been California. The state has averaged more than 500 deaths per day in recent weeks.
Alabama is another hot zone. The state’s seven-day rolling average of deaths has risen from 74 to 147 per day over the past two weeks. Kentucky (Kentucky), North Carolina (North Carolina), Oklahoma (Oklahoma), South Carolina (South Carolina) and Tennessee (Tennessee) have also seen a recent spike in deaths.
According to Fox News, infectious disease experts expect the death toll to begin declining soon after new cases peak around the beginning of the year. Rochelle Walensky, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told The Associated Press that new COVID-19 deaths could ebb as early as next week. But she said she is concerned about the impact of this Sunday’s “Super Bowl” event.
Public health experts are keeping a close eye on Florida this week, as the “Super Bowl” is set to take place in Tampa, Fla. City leaders and the NFL are trying to ensure social distance by limiting attendance to a third of the stadium’s capacity. Still, there will be parties, bars and club events and other activities that will draw people together.
Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said there is a subsequent spike in cases of the CCA virus after each celebratory holiday or occasion that has been celebrated.
