U.S. Militia in Washington, D.C. Total military deployment expenses amount to $500 million

An anonymous U.S. military official revealed yesterday (4) that the U.S. federal government has spent a total of $500 million on military mobilization of state National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., since the Capitol Hill incident last month.

According to the Associated Press, since the Capitol Hill incident last month, the U.S. government has mobilized 26,000 national troops from all states to Washington, D.C., to control traffic, protect the personal safety of members of Congress, and maintain security at the inauguration of President Joe Biden (Joe Biden). There are still 5,000 to 7,000 National Guard troops stationed in Washington, D.C., and they are expected to leave on the 14th of next month.

An unnamed official told the Associated Press that the total cost of deploying the National Guard, their salaries, extra pay, and their lodging and other necessary expenses in Washington, D.C., is up to $500 million. The federal government will have to cover the medical costs associated with the National Guard in Washington, D.C., as the federal government will have more than 30 days to activate the state’s National Guard.

The unnamed official, who was not authorized to disclose internal spending figures for the deployment, said the $500 million would be enough to cover the National Guard’s presence in Washington until the middle of next month.

The Department of Homeland Security previously issued a national terrorism alert warning of violent extremist terrorist attacks in the United States in the coming weeks.
