Arizona Republican Party Chairman, Top Trump Ally, Attacked by Loose Ends

Former Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham is attacking Trump‘s top ally Kelli Ward, according to U.S. media reports on Tuesday (Feb. 2).

Dr. Ward was re-elected chairman of the Arizona Republican Party in January, yet the other candidate for the post, Sergio Arellano, has called for an audit of the vote and has no good reason to claim there were “errors” in the process.

Arellano has a long history of traffic violations, including driving without a license or insurance, and has been accused of writing bad checks. His call for a re-audit of the vote was backed by Graham, chairman of the Arizona Republic between 2013 and 2017. In a statement, Graham said, “At this point, each of us should question the hypocrisy and integrity of the election of the Arizona Republican Party chairman if the results are not made public in an auditable form.”

According to reports in the U.S. media, Graham (R) did not seem to do a great job when he was at the helm of the Arizona Republican Party that year. 2018 reports say that Robert Graham (R) was fined $15,000 by Massachusetts and banned from working in Massachusetts after he swindled $400,000 from elderly Massachusetts women and caused the Arizona Republican Party, for poor financial reporting to scrutiny by the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

The 2018 report said the 67-year-old woman gave Graham $400,000 from the trust fund, which was supporting her elderly mother and disabled brother, and that the elderly woman expected Graham’s investment strategy would increase her capital. Before the court intervened, the elderly woman’s investment was bloodless.

The U.S. media also revealed that the Arizona Republic faced serious scrutiny from the Federal Election Commission during Graham’s chairmanship. Emails obtained by U.S. media revealed that millions of dollars were omitted or incorrectly disclosed during the 2013-4 election, and the FEC forced the Arizona Republic, under Treasurer Bob Lettieri, to develop a corrective action plan to address a variety of financial errors. Some of the errors include.

Misstated financial activity in the amount of $942,594.

Incorrectly disclosed $1,926,995 in payments that appeared to have been allocated for the obscure purpose of “voter registration.

Excessive contributions totaling $86,000 were received.

Contributions totaling $140,000 were incorrectly disclosed.

Expenditures were not itemized at $236,754.

Lettieri, then treasurer of the Arizona Republican Party, who was in charge of the Federal Election Commission investigation, went on to endorse Arellano in the runoff. Lettieri described the financial mess Graham had left the Arizona Republican Party in and the need for immediate federal intervention.

In a statement to the National Archives, Lettieri explained that the Federal Election Commission put him in charge of cleaning up the mess and that it was for that reason in 2018 that Lettieri was elected to the position.

Lettieri, a professional businessman with a fundraising background, had previously expressed doubts about Arellano’s ability to raise money for the Arizona Republic and the quality of his character, noting that he could be “influenced” by outsiders if he became Arizona Republican Party chairman. The chairman of the Arizona Republican Party is an unpaid position.

The current loose organization of Dr. Ward within the Republican Party comes from two men, a man who defrauded an elderly woman of the Life savings she had saved for her disabled and elderly Family, and professional malfeasance that apparently spilled over into the Arizona Republican Party, and another attack from a man who has a long history of serious traffic violations and has written fraudulent checks.

In a tweet, Dr. Ward, the current chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, said, “I will never give up on the right choice. No matter where it originates, I will face a never-ending stream of bloodthirsty, hateful mobs. I will stand with other America First t patriots to defend our freedom, our republic and our future.
